Somethings wrong
Trying to conquer these fears I've thought were gone
And it's been so long
I'm dying to live in a world I don't belong

I can't wait for someone to hear me
And wait for someone to touch me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone
I can't wait for someone to feel me
And wait (wait) for (for) someone to heal me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone

On my own
I've shown myself
What it means to be alone
And the tears I cry
Have washed away all the scars of my disguise

I can't wait for someone to hear me
And wait for someone to touch me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone
I can't wait for someone to feel me
And wait (wait) for (for) someone to heal me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone
I'm forever alone
I'm forever alone
I'm forever alone

I am not waiting here this time

I can't wait for someone to hear me
And wait for someone to touch me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone
I can't wait for someone to feel me
And wait (wait) for (for) someone to heal me
And wait for ever to be told
I'm forever alone
I'm forever alone

Suprised not many people have commented on this song. To me the song is talking about the realization of being alone and that waiting for another person to lift you up high is pointless.

yallRstupid...if you REALLY think about it...maybe...just maybe...he's saying he's basically waiting for someone to give him some type of attention...i.e. someone to hear me...someone to touch me...etc. Because while he's waiting for some one to do something to more or less acknowledge his existence, he's basically alone...or as he put it...forever alone

I think the song has a lot to do with someone who feels like they're suck in living in an emotional state of limbo. The kind of thing that happens when you've been hurt so bad by something that your own scars block you from being capable of feeling anything anymore. Your own fears block you from opening up, you hide behind them, so that no one else can ever really see you or "touch" you. When that happens, you really are alone.

I heard this song about a month or two ago and loved it. I cant believe no one else has really written anything about it. I guess the song is really self-explanatory and sums up alot of shit that people go through. Its a great song and i hope more people start listening to it.

    This song doesn't really require much analysing. We need songs like it once in a while. The fact that it's just plain awesome doesn't hurt either ^^;

yeah i kinda take that message too. how he inevitably knows he will die alone, so why wait for something that is never gonna come?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
