World inside my head
Place where I think too much
The place where no one can touch
My god foresaken fear
Though I don't pray enough I want to
Want to thank you for the tears I've cried
Love you gave to me
I...
Want to show you what I've kept inside
If it takes control of me
I was left behind
Alone and about myself
Force to look at myself
I never will believe
The things they say to me
Want to thank you for the tears I've cried
Love you gave to me
I...
Want to show you what I've kept inside
If it takes control of me
Control of me
Control of me
Control of me
Control of
I've held onto for so long
And maybe it's all I reap into the people that tried to tell
TELL ME WRONG
Want to thank you for the tears I've cired
Love you gave to me
I...
Want to show you what I've kept inside
If it takes control of me
Control of me
Control of me
Control of me

I think that this song is about being confind from the world by a specific person who wants to completely control your life. Basically he's tried to hide his sorrow through 'the bottles to complete this greif'

I really dont agree... I think he was rejected by someone he loved and when they rejected him it opened up a ton of anger and rage. And this anger and rage are taking control of him. This is probably my own thought because i always bend songs to work for me.

I think this song is a mix of what you both said...
I think it's about a man who's "love" broke up with him. It gave him a ton of anger and resent towards her, and it's slowly taking control of him. Though, when he is around her, it's completely hidden. so "He wants to thank her for the tears he cried, the love she gave, and now he wants to show her what he's kept inside (resent) even if it takes complete control of him"

I think Dark Rider nailed it. I can't believe this song wasn't bigger and more people loved it. After you listen to it, you're just as mad as the guy singing. That's awesome.

This is Earshots best song in my opinion because of pure emotion of rage you feel when you listen to this song.
People can look at this song as his "love" caused him pain, but it could be anything that has scarred someone. It could be a person who always picked on you in high school and you are finally getting revenge, or it could be someone who killed someone dear to you...anything to push you over that line into pure emotionless rage...The Punisher comes to mind.
What this song says to me is, you (the person talking) has changed permanently, you are no longer the innocent person you once were. You have become something else, something worse, your anger has turned your world inside out and though you struggle to hide it everyday you wait for that one moment you can let it go on the person (or thing) that caused this change, to once and for all settle the score.

You have lost Control of your emotions (Rage, Anger) and now they Control you, hence the name of the song...Control.

I agree with M3JustM3. I do agree that this could be just about anything. And that the resentment and anger toward that specific something has caused him to just let all his rage out and therefore the rage he has is now controlling him
