Go
A rush of blood
To my head leaves me winded and wanting
To feel the weakness in my body
Beaten and crushed like my soul
I walked the streets flirting death
But I never kissed back
I'm so lucky so cursed so fucked up
But that's the way that it goes
Its the ebb and the flow
I wish that I could give you my time
Give you my time

Seems that doomsday has come early this year
The last angel has gone
I can't remember the last time I cried
The last angel has gone home

The memories stacking up
And they pull at my guts
What do I have to do to end it
The better days hacked away
Leaving me only pain
This regret is never ending
But in the blink of an eye
This life passes you by
I wish that I could give you my time
Give you my time

Seems that doomsday has come early this year
The last angel has gone
I can't remember the last time I cried
The last angel has gone home

I can't remember
I can't remember
I can't remember the last time I cried

Seems that doomsday has come early this year
The last angel has gone
I can't remember the last time I cried
The last angel has gone home

certainly old atreyu-style lyrics. It is about pain and suffering, finding a release, and dealing with the pain for so long you end up watching life fly by.

id just like to throw this out there... the reason that i(and probably alot of other people) dont like this album isnt because they stopped screaming and "matured" as a band. it because of the way that alex now sings- he sounds like every other mod-rock singer on the radio. you can stop screaming and still mature as a band, look at trivium and a7x(trivium easily being one of the best thrash metal band of all time) they have relativly no screaming in their new albums, but their stuff is still headbangable and trivium still has monster pits. atreyu now is just your everyday mod-rock radio band with 2 good guitarist who actually know what they are doing, unlike most radio music. in my opinion a band sells out when all 3 of these following tasks are done 1. They leave their origional sound and reject it(not play old songs at concerts) 2. the new sound is more socially accepted, and has a larger potential fan base (snabk only had about 100000 sold) 3.the majority of the old fans wouldnt attend the said bands concert. I feel as if atreyu has done 2,3, and half of 1. They only played lip gloss and black from sucicide notes, and only rht side of the bed from curse on family values tour. I bet that in 5 years the majority of atreyu fans will be like "ohhh i heard some wierd make-up song by atreyu and it was likee soooo scary...omg... " (that fits the description of multiple atreyu songs) I hope this never happens, but it is probably inevitable. also, atreyu's songs used to be extremmly deep and probably help alot of people through tough times, where as now there songs are about animals you can find in a zoo.

so, i hope now you guys know where us LSPA dislikers are comin from. feel free to reply to this with immature comments such as " ur not a true fan" "go fuck yourself" and other stuff like that, but know that it make you look bad and doesnt actually deny anything that i say here. that being said i would choose the new "atreyu" over most mod-rock bands out there. and please dont say anything about how i hate this song because it is the best one on the album.

    R.I.P Atreyu R.I.P Trivium R.I.P Metallica

you used to be my favourite band!!!! dan customed his own guitar, what the fuck for, to play an pop punk like riff!!!!!!!!! atreyu lost their originality for some extra profit, but to the immense amount of hate in forums and comments about this album, seems they lost both!!!!!

while at first i didn't like it because it didnt sound like the atreyu we all know, i think this is still a good cd. it is still better than any of the really popular bands of today's albums. i like the old atreyu better, but this cd really is a good cd

Okay, why does a band changing piss people off so badly??? wtf? I mean, come on, if they DIDN'T change, you'd be sick of them sounding the SAME! stop complaining about the fact they don't sound as good as they did before... and the fact they don't scream like they used to... obviously you people aren't like LOYAL fans... liek I am... because I LOVE this CD! this song, it's Alex's most personal one YET! You shouldn't always focus on the SOUND... but on the MESSAGE and the MEANING of the music... that's what I do... This song, it's like ME singing this... because I, like Alex, lost my grandpa... onlly dif between our losses is that I WATCHED my grandpa die... he didn't get to say goodbye... (if you don't believe me... go look up Revolver, he talks about it! which is a first, he usually doesnt talk about his feelings like this... this is more personal than "Oh, I just broke up with my girlfriend because she was cheating on me!") This song is my fave off this CD! (along with Becoming the Bull... and all the rest!)

I am also disappointed with this album I'm afraid, it's not the fact that they've become sellouts or something like that. It's their sound and they do whatever they want with it. My problem though is that everytime I listen to one of their new songs I'm waiting for the hardcore voice to kick in, but it never does, which in my opinion sucks. Atreyu's still great, but not their new album, sorry.

kickass song. chorus is the best part not much of a screamo person but it gives the song some flavor just makes it better. basicly its bout the end of the end of the world. after the rapture or wut ever is goin to happen. u get 1 more chance. well he blow it off cuz he thot he had more time then they gave him which is 7 years. i found out as i listened to there songs there more religious in some of them then in others like "cant happen here". but there still kickass.

Fortnight
Taylor Swift
The song 'Fortnight' by Taylor Swift and Post Malone tells a story about strong feelings, complicated relationships, and secret wishes. It talks about love, betrayal, and wanting someone who doesn't feel the same. The word 'fortnight' shows short-lived happiness and guilty pleasures, leading to sadness. It shows how messy relationships can be and the results of hiding emotions. “I was supposed to be sent away / But they forgot to come and get me,” she kickstarts the song in the first verse with lines suggesting an admission to a hospital for people with mental illnesses. She goes in the verse admitting her lover is the reason why she is like this. In the chorus, she sings about their time in love and reflects on how he has now settled with someone else. “I took the miracle move-on drug, the effects were temporary / And I love you, it’s ruining my life,” on the second verse she details her struggles to forget about him and the negative effects of her failure. “Thought of callin’ ya, but you won’t pick up / ‘Nother fortnight lost in America,” Post Malone sings in the outro.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
