Wow don't know how I didn't think of that before. The song as a whole makes so much more sense to me now. It's almost like she's just pleading with Max to not get over her like the others before him did. An insecurity when the relationship was probably still new, wanting to trust, but still being guarded because of the past. Something I think most people can relate to. The only part that confuses me a bit still is the second verse. I can't see how that might be toward Max, but maybe more so to Chad? |

I cannot believe how much they've matured instrumentally, vocally, lyrically... This whole album gives me the chills. I just think it's about someone being a little shaky in a relationship, not sure how they feel or where they want to go with the other person. The Dangerous Summer always always kill me with their songs. They're so real and way too relatable. It makes me ache. It's easier to play it off like I don't like them at all. it's not about josh at all it turns out. i just got my bne deluxe with a version of her journal. in it she wrote about chad leaving for tour for the first time and it was an "emo day", insecurities bubbling to the top and what not. so yeah. even after the blunt revealing of hayley and josh's relationship in AP we might have still been hoping? i do like chad a lot though. |

i think you're taking the non-existant but we keep believing part out of context unless i'm not understanding you correctly. i don't think she's saying that god is non-existant but they just keep believing its more like, being in the spotlight theres been a lot of comments about her christianity and it gets tiring so its harder for her to believe in anything but then she goes on to say that functioning that way isn't really helping anything this goal (possibly deflecting the comments about her beliefs by not believing in anything) shes trying to achieve isn't really the right way to go about it. my favorite line is "in the free fall i will realize i'm better off when i hit the bottom" as a christian to me that means at the bottom is when i will finally cry out for god and he will come to my rescue even if you arent a christian, i look at it like, well im at the bottom only way to go now is up. and thats a good thing in the end. a sort of motivation. i love this song. |

god i cannot get over this song the guitar is so comforting to me and yes! hayleys voice is totally sounding like regina in parts. this is such an amazing transition for them. as for the meaning i find it hard to describe its obvious in some ways but i feel like theres something below the surface and im trying to find interviews where hayley talked about it but im not having any luck right now. |

what can you hide kinda sounds like 'wanna get me high?' but im not too sure on that i really love all the songs so far. i needed to hear something other than sink into me. i love the second verse and how it sounds but not too sure about why good times would grow in the crease of an arm. im sure its not literal. all i can think of is walking linking arms with someone else. but im sure thats not even relevant, just the image that popped into mind. |

it almost so obviously about the engagement between adam and chauntelle that i feel like its about something else. like too obvious to be true, for adam anyways. nonetheless lyrically, vocally, and musically this song is so gorgeous. listening to the album on their myspace right now and this is definitely a favorite. i guess one thing i dont fully understand in the chorus is he bashing the fact that she was such a strong christian? am i missing something? i obviously dont know the whole details on their relationship but it apparently was a bitter ending... im assuming he (adam) isnt religious? thats always something ive been confused about. |
