Robbie Williams – Bodies Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Jesus didn't die for you, what do you want? (I want perfection) Jesus didn't die for you, what are you on? Oh Lord (Jesus didn't die for you) Ohh (Jesus didn't die for you) (Jesus didn't die for you) Ohhhhhhh That makes alot more sense, especially when you look at the videoclip you can see him (robbie) waving his finger as to imply a no, no, no when the backgroundchoir sings this. |

Causality |
Mute Math – OK Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Clearly in this song, Paul is under the influence of theories about imaginery friends. "Talking just like I was taught" |
Mute Math – Stare at the Sun Lyrics | 14 years ago |
And we stare at the SON, but we never see anyting there. Stop wearing those damn bracelets about what a long gone man would do. Live now (Clockwork) |
Mute Math – Odds Lyrics | 14 years ago |
Definately about the band. This song sounds like a Dido song. |
Mute Math – Electrify Lyrics | 14 years ago |

Mute Math – Clipping Lyrics | 14 years ago |
sounds like linkin park. This is Krishnamurti's philosophy about life. "I don't know" is a great start. Seeing without the image. etc. Good job Mute! |

Mute Math – Typical Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Do you realize that in your theory god created the heavens and the earth and everything that is on it, so automatically everything that is created is inspired, made and planned by god. No need to stay away from anything if he is everywhere right? |
Mute Math – Chaos Lyrics | 15 years ago |
just by typing it in caps-lock won't change anyone's opinion. |
Mute Math – Spotlight (Twilight Mix) Lyrics | 15 years ago |
haha.. oh please |
Mute Math – The Nerve Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Instrumentally a fast and dark song, lyrically a powerful statement. I think the world = the big bureaucratic corporation. With this song they are joining in line with bands/people like Radiohead, Sigur Ros, Bob dylan, Bjork and so on, fighting for a better world. "Set it on fire" sounds like a call for revolution, like V in V for Vendetta blows up the parlement with fireworks, waking up the people bound. Ofcourse the link to christianity is obvious since Paul Meany grew up as a christian.... but the lyrics sound more like a song out of the 60's. Perhaps an outlet for all the frustration Mute Math had to take in the whole process. Cheers |

the emptiness of succes |
Mute Math – Typical Lyrics | 15 years ago |
haha I like how you put (or should be). Because, I can ensure you, not everybody is like you or like the way you think christians have to be. But thanks for sharing your view. |
Mute Math – Clockwork Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Inspiring, thank you for posting and taking the time to hear the words! I think the meaning is straightforward, and that meaning struck me pretty good. I love the line "But tomorrow already happened" Make the most of what you got, of today, for there might be no tomorrow... or tomorrow will be gone before you even realized it. Make the most of love, and live life to the fullest. (L) |
The Beatles – Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds Lyrics | 15 years ago |
Why is it that everytime John writes a great poetic song, people start about drugs? Should we do that with everyband nowadays? Is animal collective using drugs for creating such songs? Is Dark side of the moon about drugs? C'mon... grow up.... lyrics are just open for interpretation... and i think there was no special meaning behind songs like these, just funny words and sentences put together. Will everybody stop acting like babies and boo the beatles for drug use? |
Coldplay – Animals Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I miss that Chris Martin sometimes ;) =P |
José González – Abram Lyrics | 15 years ago |
I'm currently reading "the god delusion" and feel like I understand these lyrics much more. Crudnick is right for my part. I'm learning the song on guitar, and then you realize how great and complex this song is Lovely. |
Coldplay – Strawberry Swing Lyrics | 15 years ago |
i think the lyrics of this song and the feeling are a bit like the "don't panic" song.... it seems to be about a beautiful world and to be a simple meaning song, but when you watch the video clip of don't panic, it is about how our world gets destroyed and the song seems more ironic. To me, strawberry swing is also ironic. It is about being happy and peaceful at the cost of your own free will. "They were sitting They were talking in the strawberry swing Everybody was for fighting Wouldn't wanna waste a thing" Seems to me that the person doesn't want to screw the whole feeling by telling them his opinion on war, he rather wouldn't wanna waste a thing. "Cold, cold water Bring me round Now my feet won't touch the ground" Is this about global warming, as it was in the video of don't panic? "People moving all the time Inside a perfectly straight line Don't you wanna just curve away When it's such When it's such a perfect day It's such a perfect day" Masses of sheep all moving in the same direction, no individuality, it seems to me someone is saying: do you want to curve away when it's such a perfect day?? No why would you, when YOU feel fine. To me this song is about fake perfection and how we all just want to roll along as long as the feeling for us is nice, while we could have stand up against war, global warming and we could have retained our individuality. Anyone else? |
José González – Killing for Love Lyrics | 15 years ago |
" if you hate, die and kill for love." really has to be "if you hate and kill for love" I don't know who wrote this, but it is sincere nonsense. And to lasyoldsun> No kidding... it is a love song??? you didn't get that from the TITLE of the song huh? |
José González – Abram Lyrics | 15 years ago |
"Even though you men well" really has to be "Even though you meAn well" |
Coldplay – Yes Lyrics | 16 years ago |
my girlfriend gave me the small enlightment. It has alot to do with christianity and sex, so what i think is, that the person is talking about how they started a relationship but found out that waiting for sex after marriage was euhm... pretty frustrating? "When it started we had high hopes; now my back's on the line, my back's on the ropes... When it started we were alright, but night makes a fool of us in daylight." "If you'd only, if you'd only say yes. Whether you will is anybody's guess. God only, God knows she won't let me rest, but I'm just so tired of this loneliness. I've become so tired of this loneliness. " Still today, many christians believe that having sex before marriage is a sin into the eyes of God, so i think this about hoping God will forgive this "sin". A man who can't take it anymore to wait, he is 'tempted' to have sex. well, that's my interpretation, hope you can see what i mean. |

Coldplay – Ladder to the Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"I can run my courses Opposing forces And oh man I just..." Has to be: "I can run my courses and Opposing forces And oh man are just mortals" Such a good way to describe the love between man and woman. I also can see in my life that the girl of my dreams is a ladder to the sun... to daylight. light and love. Back to the source. |
Coldplay – Brothers & Sisters Lyrics | 18 years ago |
bla bla but what about the song?? Haha.. somehow it reminds me of Jesus talking to His disciples... ok don't kick me for being religious... but somehow it does.... just read it again (i hope this doesn't screw the song for you) But seriously... it DOES have to do something with "spreading love around"... And euhm.. i interpret the lyrics this way: Brothers and sisters feel fine It's the time of your lives It's the time of your lives No sound, no sound Light this feeling you've found Light this feeling you've found So anymore meanings? |
Coldplay – Sleeping Sun Lyrics | 18 years ago |
so what's all this with numbers? Nineteen and counting You have got seven I have got one And who or what is the sleeping sun? |
Coldplay – Daylight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
at first. Why didn't you CHECK if i was lying? Seems to me rather stupid to say someone is lying without even looking to the evidence. Second. i had to re-write the lyrics myself, because you can't just copy it from the coldplay website. but look it up, most of what i said is there. And go and take a good listen (also to the live versions). And kill me if i entirely made everything up. Haha. |
Coldplay – Life Is for Living Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Did you guys ever heard the version from the live dvd 2003? It's interesting.. because after this part: Sing Ah, ah, oh Sing Ah, ah, oh And just think Ah, ah, oh He goes on singing... what sounded to me as this: "Cause in the end. There is only us No nothing there is only love In decay, the time in us Cause in the end, there is only love" |
Coldplay – Daylight Lyrics | 18 years ago |
After a long journey on the internet for the right lyrics.. i found these.. i think it's from the official coldplay website.. so don't dare to doubt these :P: To my suprise, and my delight, I saw a sunrise, I saw a sunlight. I am nothing, in the dark, and the clouds burst, to show daylight. oooo, and the sun shined yeah on this heart of mine. oooo, and I realise Could i live without it, Could i part without it. On a hill top, on a skyrise, like a first born, child, on a full day, on a full flight, defeat darkness, breaking daylight. oooo, and the sun shined yeah on this heart of mine. oooo, and I realise, could I live without, could I part without, daylight. Slowly breaking through the daylight, Slowly breaking through the daylight, Slowly breaking through the daylight, Slowly breaking... I think this lyrics changes the whole song meaning. When i read these lyrics.. i really began to love this song. Especially the parts> defeat darkness, breaking daylight and yeah the sun shined on this heart of mine. It talks about something higher and spiritual. I love those guys! ps: i do really agree with Matt Green! |
Coldplay – Swallowed in the Sea Lyrics | 18 years ago |
"Oh what good is it to live with nothing left to give Forget but not forgive, not loving all you see" fantastic way of life!!! |
Coldplay – The World Turned Upside Down Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Correction: "hide and sob, and away they fly to write your name in the summer sky life has really only just begun life, that comes and everything under the sun" I heard Chris Martin say in an interview, that he originally wanted to call the album Yin & Yang... but this was a bad idea, so he changed it to X&Y Yet this explains alot! X&Y can be seen as Ying and Yang X&Y in this song is seen as You and Me I think that this song is all about so many things being part of one, all under the sun... a unity in nature and so, a unity in you and me, man and woman. see the philosophy in the whole x&y album... beautiful! |
