"Strawberry Swing" as written by Christopher Anthony John Martin, Guy Rupert Berryman, Jonathan Mark Buckland and William Champion....
They were sitting
They were sitting in the strawberry swing
Every moment was so precious

They were sitting
They were talking in the strawberry swing
Everybody was for fighting
Wouldn't wanna waste a thing

Cold, cold water
Bring me round
Now my feet won't touch the ground
Cold, cold water
What ya say?
It's such
It's such a perfect day
It's such a perfect day

I remember
We were walking up to strawberry swing
I can't wait 'til the morning
Wouldn't wanna change a thing

People moving all the time
Inside a perfectly straight line
Don't you wanna curve away
It's such
It's such a perfect day
It's such a perfect day

Now the sky could be blue
I don't mind
Without you it's a waste of time
Could be blue

I don't mind
Without you it's a waste of time
Could be blue,
Could be grey
Without you I'm just miles away

Could be blue
I don't mind
Without you it's a waste of time.

General Commenti think the lyrics of this song and the feeling are a bit like the "don't panic" song.... it seems to be about a beautiful world and to be a simple meaning song, but when you watch the video clip of don't panic, it is about how our world gets destroyed and the song seems more ironic.

To me, strawberry swing is also ironic.
It is about being happy and peaceful at the cost of your own free will.

    "They were sitting
They were talking in the strawberry swing
    Everybody was for fighting
    Wouldn't wanna waste a thing"

Seems to me that the person doesn't want to screw the whole feeling by telling them his opinion on war, he rather wouldn't wanna waste a thing.

    "Cold, cold water
    Bring me round
Now my feet won't touch the ground"

Is this about global warming, as it was in the video of don't panic?

    "People moving all the time
    Inside a perfectly straight line
Don't you wanna just curve away
    When it's such
When it's such a perfect day
    It's such a perfect day"

Masses of sheep all moving in the same direction, no individuality, it seems to me someone is saying: do you want to curve away when it's such a perfect day??
No why would you, when YOU feel fine.

To me this song is about fake perfection and how we all just want to roll along as long as the feeling for us is nice, while we could have stand up against war, global warming and we could have retained our individuality.

    Anyone else?
