Abram Lyrics

Abram either wake up or go to bed.
You're sleepwalking with a delirious head.
You were programmed a long, long, long time ago
Your stories are old, old and your acclimation is slow.

OoOOooh...
Go to sleep
oooooooh.

Not much of what you say makes any sense.
Cook up some myths, then ask for obedience.
Even though you mean well, well most of the time,
you've aided delusion and created bias in our minds.

Oooohh, go to sleep.

I think he means that the bible story isn't relevant anymore, and that the reason many people doesn't believe in God is that the bible sound like a myth. basically he doesn't agree with the bible and its bias.

jose gonzalez says that this song was the result of "the god delusion" by richard dawkins. abram means all the abrahamic religions which are judism, christianity and islam. these monotheistic religions are irrational, oppressive and create conflict. go to sleep means he wishes they would stop "sleepwalking" and just end.

Nietzche maybe?

I'm currently reading "the god delusion" and feel like I understand these lyrics much more. Crudnick is right for my part. I'm learning the song on guitar, and then you realize how great and complex this song is Lovely.
