Just another lonely, just another lonely day
You don't even know me anymore, and I don't even know what to say
This is getting so old, this is getting so hard to take
Imagine that we used to be so close, but now that seems so far away

Breaking out from the inside
Breathing air from the outside, baby
Breaking out from the inside and i'm walking away

Just another lonely, just another lonely phase
I don't know if things could get much worse, I'm already flat on my face
This cage will never hold me, this cage will never hold me wait
I need to find the strength inside me now, to stand up for myself and get away

Breaking out from the inside
Breathing air from the outside, baby
Breaking out from the inside and i'm walking away

I'm feeling so confused in this place
I'm trying not to lose my mind so i

Breaking out from the inside
Breathing air from the outside, baby
Breaking out from the inside and i'm walking away

In My Opinion, It's About A Relationship, That Has Become More Like A Prison. In The First Verse, It Talks About Each Day Becoming The Same As The Day Before. Just A Lonely Day, And How Once Strong Feelings, Seem So Far Away.

A Prisoner Considers The "Outside" To Be Anything Beyond Prison Walls. He's Breaking Out From The Inside, The Walls That Hold Him Back, And How He's Determined To Breathe Air From The "Outside". Outside The Walls Holding Him Back.

2nd Verse Says How He's Held Down, It's The Equivalent To Being "Flat On His Face". Then Goes On To Say The Relationship Is A Cage, Which he Refuses To Let Hold Him Back Any More. He Realizes That He Needs To Find The Strength To Get Out Of The Relationship. To Break Free.

The Bridge Is Just Saying How He Is Confused On How He Allowed This To Happen

The song seems more inclined towards a struggle with depression/inner anger, moreso than anything else. Typically as a pensive individual, without a way to vent that feels proper, everything builds up inward and occasionally people build walls or shells to hide away.

People could try to help, but typically the mood tends to break down exactly to how the individual is feeling. In terms of this song, after a long time of thinking and brooding behaviour, it affects relationships with friends, family, etc and with that comes the lack of "knowing" who the 'suffering' individual is anymore. They feel boxed in, like no one can help them but themselves.

Eventually everything will feel so foreign that everything will lose it's edge as well. The song is really deep, really, really deep.

Sean is definetly one of the most talented musicians to come to pass and I hope SES is around for years to come.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion.
