Umm... Yes that's an interlude And though I don't really think there are written lyrics anywhere I hear the verses like this...

Verse 1: Lookin at my broccoli it's about that time Polishin the nasty cauliflower patches till they shine Xaul rocks! Tried to have phone sex but you called the cops Plus the holes are too small I've got these huge bald spots On top of my head emerging like unwanted islands I'm trying to vote my self off of By force of nature I'm pushed off the (?) to face a world of war wages And girls of all ages Hi! I'm the guy you don't love just yet But I write poems with my tongue on your neck Hoping for some sex Older than sunsets Golden boy, blue balls Totally upset, but overjoyed by Ru Paul The bipolar bear hug got you sick to your stomach When I hold a beer mug and make you sip from it Thinkin this plug dick will kill the dead silence in your body I wanna be the life of the search party

(Verse 2) Now if I monger whores While Joe mongers whores And he mongers whores While she mongers whores And we monger whores While they monger whores It's a mother flockin orgy y'all, cause I got yours Say what? Xaul Zan is here No random fan from the small van I stare (??) calling your man a crook Cause I'm deep (how deep?) I'm deeper than Sage Francis Retreating the gay campus Bleeding on AIDs pamphlets I shit dance moves battle with the spinning moonwalks It's in the attitudes Grab my miniscule crotch! I will remove the cross That dangles in the cleavage Of every christian chick who thinks her tits are saving Jesus Gee whiz! Listen to the knowledge that I'm kickin I'm not hard on women I put my hard-on on women I'm starting with (??) who shouts with her face down When I'm not swingin', I'm scoutin out the playgrounds

We made you bounce so hard in your car it made your tires flat Joe stole your ho, and I'ma make you buy her back She tried to grab my handlebar moustache Saying I'll never steer you wrong And I'm like "sure you're right" I got a kool-aid smile with some midol Cause I'm down with you And down on you When your child calls I'm Xaul Zan Damn, I have to say it again? Halfsharkalligatorhalfman half amazing Nasty scab collector Broken heart donor Political party crasher Love me or leave me a loner Professional melon bruiser With a style that's fresher Some think I'm a (??) Inner-child mollestor! Thirty-something dirty Mac dump trucker Mineral spring chicken shit fairy god mother fucker A diaphram pussy diver, clear the floor I am womanizer, hear me whore?

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
