37mm Lyrics

Bring your secrets to me,
Just give me your hands,
And I'll let you feel the wounds.
They put in me.

If you believe in me,
How can I be dissolving?
If you'd believe me,
I'd tell you everything.

Do you fall too?
(everytime that I)
Yes, I fall.
(everytime that I)
Do you want to,
(try to pacify)

Fall into me?
(fall into me)
(fall into me)
Into me.

Silence can you hear me?
Press me to your lips,
And I'll suck the poison out.
Who will heal me? me..

If you keep killing me,
How can I keep absolving?
Your sins into me,
Begin the poisoning.

Do you fall too?
(everytime that I)
Yes, I fall.
(everytime that I)
Do you want to,
(try to pacify)

Fall into me?
(fall into me)
(fall into me)
Into me.

Time, time, time,
We're not, waiting.
Time, time, time
We're no one.

[distant:] unknown. unknown.

Do you fall too?
(everytime that I)
Yes, I fall.
(everytime that I)
Do you want to?
(try to pacify)

Fall into me
(fall into me)

Do you fall too?
(everytime that I)
Yes, I fall.
(everytime that I)
Do you want to,
(try to pacify)

Fall into me
(fall into me)
(fall into me)
Into me.

We are no one.
We are no one.
We are one.
We are no one.
We are,
We are no one.
We are no one.
We are one.
We are no one.
We are,
We are no one.
We are no one.
We are one.
We are no one.
We are,
We are no one.
We are no one.
We are one.
We are no one.
We are,
We are no one.
We are no one.
We are one.
We are no one.
We are. [in background of this "we are": no one]

Does anyone else see the love song aspect of this?

I don't understand why people consistently project Christian lyrics onto a band that... isn't Christian. Jesus-freaks - not everything is about Jesus! You need to diversify a little. There's a lot of people out there who think Miss Murder is about Jesus, (WHAT?) as well as numerous other songs they've done (the funniest one to me being The Prayer Position, in which Davey quite clearly says "I can't help but... look to my species and tremble to think that God is just." That sounds pretty decidedly un-Christian to me. Just... stop it! The "I think it's about Jesus" answers are getting more frequent and less credible than the "I think it's about a girl" answers.

Anyway, I forget who it was who nailed it, but whoever said the song is about an empath who feels other people's pain, I couldn't agree more. Someone who other people confide their secrets in, but the weight of that starts to take its toll. (Another song with a similar - albiet not identical - theme is Overexposure.) That's quite obviously what it's about, just read the lyrics with that in mind and you can see it plain as day. You don't have to stretch and contort the lyrics into fitting the Jesus theory, just let them fall into place naturally.

Actually, I take it back - what's more pervasive and out-of-left-field than the Jesus theories are the "this song's about vampires" ones. If every one of those theories I've seen were correct, half of AFI's songs would be about Jesus, and the other half would be about vampires, and a few would be about both. (Has anyone ever seen Jesus Christ: Vampire Hunter?)

AFI's members are not christian at all - they're atheist/agnostic. Never, ever fucking put jesus into anything AFI related.

Thank you! Jeez

A lot of people connect many songs to religious matters, i think it isn't the right way to read afi songs. Not all however. I think Davey speaks of people impirtant to him or that surround him.

When you sink into me, Just give me your hands, And i'll let you feel the wounds. They believe in me.

If you believe in me, How can i be dissolving? If you'd believe me, I'd tell you everything.

Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by)

Fall into me? (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me.

Parents can you hear me? Press me to your lips, And i'll suck the poison out. Who will heal me? me..

If you keep killing me, How can i keep absolving? Your sins into me, Begin the poisoning.

Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by)

Fall into me? (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me.

Time, time, time, We're not, waiting. Time, time, time We're no one.

unknown. unknown.

Do you fall through? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to? (i'll be passing by)

Fall into me (fall into me)

Do you fall too? (everytime that i) As i fall. (everytime that i) Do you want to, (i'll be passing by)

Fall into me (fall into me) (fall into me) Into me.

We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are, We are no one. We are no one. We are one. We are no one. We are.

those are the real lyrics

and yeah...I have a different interpretation of these.. I think he's actually addressing the parents of kids who listen to his songs...the parents that judge him ...He's trying to tell them that his lyrics arent wrong and that they, like him "fall too" ... time time..we're not waiting..." thats also a reference to the kids that listen to his lyrics in saying that they will not wait until they get older to listen to afi songs... "they believe in me'' maybe the parents of these kids have let them down in some way and in turn, they "sink into" afi...

so so so so wrong. lol. that's funny

... Did someone actually have the nerve and stupidity to call Silver and Cold Silver and GREY?

Slaps that poster

And AFI do that more than just here, like in Girl's not Grey with "This Art does Drown"

I just want to say this: the song title is in NO WAY a gun reference. There is a big difference between the caliber scale and mm scale for guns. When you see a gun size labled ".45" that would be a 45 caliber, which in metric is about the same size as a 9mm. The last time anybody used 37mm guns was in WWII, the U.S. had an anti-tank gun that was 37mm and the Russians had an anti-aircraft gun that was also 37mm.

Although a camera lens seems more likely, the common camera lens is only 35mm, which seems to suggest that the number 37 has a special meaning, while simultaniously conjouring the "camera lens" connotation.

DU I S A GREAT ALBUM

I'm not really thinking of Davey's life story here because it's not relevant to the art of song writing, in my opinion. In my interpretation, it doesn't matter who wrote the song; all that matters is the words that were written. So here it goes:

I think the song is from the point of view from a man who wishes to be a martyr. He's been unjustly attacked and now he needs to tell his story. He's just waiting for someone to tell it to. Some people have heard his story before, but for one reason or another, no one has learned from it. He's saying "The proof is right here! I am your example! You've seen what this does, why don't you change?"

It seems like he's just trying so hard to be heard, but the power relies on the ear of the listener. It doesn't matter how much this man forewarns, if no one soaks it up, nothing will change. If he is continuously ignored, how can his story help to solve anything?

"Time time time, we're not waiting..." Seems to be from the second point of view, the casual listener who doesn't seem to absorb the message. Rather, the listeners find the warning to be a burden.

But still, the warning story teller offers to support the weight of the other fallen with his experience as well. Rather than letting those who have suffered suffer alone, he joins them, if for nothing but the warmth of company.

Wow, this is a beautiful song.
