* - I’m not sure whether my translation is correct, but the intended wordplay is obviously that the verb “bemannt” has the word “Mann” in it

[2] "Glied" can mean both "link" (of a chain) and "member" — that is, "penis".
[3] "Geschlecht" can mean many things: "sex", "gender", "family", "house", "generation", etc. It can also be short for "Geschlechtsteil" which means "genitals".
[4] The screaming ("Ah") has been combined with "Schwuler" to make "Schwulah". That, or it's similar to "playa" as opposed to "player", just changing the ending to sound "hip". [5] Gegen and "gay gen" sound the same. The former means "against", the latter "gay for".

I always understand: "Meine Haut gehört dem Herrn" instead of
Meine Haut gehört den Herren (which is the plural of "Herren" and which was translated here)
This might be another wordplay - "Herr" in its singular form can mean "god" in German, too. Just as a hint ;)
That's the reason I translated "Herr" as "lord", so that the meaning of "our Lord God" would be half-way preserved, at least

The discussion in the thread with the German lyrics seems to have established that "Schwulah" is what the official lyrics say. That just seems a bit odd to me :)
Oh, and I hope that the wordplay of "man against man" doesn't escape the English-speaking audience, as cheeza4u already pointed out.

I think the "cold tongues" represent the homophobic people yelling insults at the gay man. Indeed the song isn't meant to offend homosexuals, it just portrays society's reaction to someone being oppenly gay.
