Coffin Builder (feat. Trevor McNevan) Lyrics
My fall draws near.
My life fell out of my hands and into
This hole where everything's cold
I lose the feeling of guilt. There's
nothing inside, my innocence died.
And now the emptiness grows, it's
bringing me down and taking my crown
I've seen where everything's dark.
It's here in my soul, I'm losing control.
CHORUS:
Have mercy on me.
Have mercy on me.
Have mercy on me for every thorn I've driven in.
Within these walls you'll see
Alone in here - the end.
Before my very last day I'm making it stop.
I'm turning it off.
I'll fight the feeling I have until everything's
Gone. Resistance has won
Now time is healing these wounds and
You are still here releasing my fear
My life fell out of my hands. They
took it away, I'm taking it back.
(CHORUS)
And everyday I feel like this weight's
Constantly dragging me down
Broken for the last time (Never get the best of me, won't get the best of me)
I've got a heart of steel, but your words are
Constantly bringing me down.
I'm open for the first time (Never get the best of me, wont' get the best of me)
(CHORUS)
My fall drawns near.

(CHORUS)
My fall drawns near.

this songs is incredibly awesome
I think this song is about how people give into the world..and its like throwing your life into a grave. And how u have no more guilt(wich is bad), and u lost your innocence. And then the chorous is asking God for mercy. Then the song goes on to try to get his life back on track and how time is healing his wounds and God is still there releasing the fear. And how is life fell into the world and how he is going to take it back.
Its a good song.
Yet again i agree with you squeakycheez07 lol.... The song is about someone falling and giving into temptation and sin and such... whatever you wanna call it lol.... and then the chorus i feel is kinda like the plea for a second chance.. mercy... like you said lol... and then i dont understand the last verse... it could be someones words constantly bringing the person down....but it seems as though this person keeps falling... cause at the end 'my fall draws near.' its like they know they are growing weak... but yea good song XP
The beauty of God's grace is that one needn't plea for His forgiveness. I think that the last part is the singer realizing how his dwelling on the remorse is just breaking him down, because that's not how Christ's forgiveness is supposed to work. That kind of contradicts with the first part, where he says that he's lost the feeling of fuilt. But maybe that's it. He's not guilty, so his cries for mercy are half-hearted. He realizes that his situation is causing him to detiorate and "his fall" is drawing near. shrug Sounds good to me! :-D
I love this song! Featuring Trevor McNevan! Good song, and you guys had good explanations of the song.
Is That the Singer from thousand foot Krutch?
yeah, the singer from thousand foot krutch is in this song, its funny when you first hear it because you know its not demon hunter. but yes, that is the TFK lead singer in the part that goes
"and everyday i feel like this weight's constatly dragging me down broken for the last time ive got a heart of steel, but your words are constantly dragging me down. i'm open for the first time"

This song is about the power that media has over people today. We live in a society that is force-fed media-slanted garbage from the day we’re born. It’s hard to avoid it even if you try. From the objectification of women to the importance of financial gain to the justification of substance abuse, it’s all there- at every newsstand and on every TV channel. The over-saturation of worldly values is no irony. It works. People relate to these desires and that’s why it sells. I’m no different from the next guy when it comes to this stuff. I have the same sinful nature that anyone else might have. The one thing that I have that a lot of people don’t, is a relationship with Christ that helps me overcome these challenges. I know that if I ask for direction and guidance in my daily walk, He’ll help me avoid the pressures that are pushed to us everyday.
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” -John 16:33
This song sounds like it is saying that you cant let the guilt of your sin grow inside of you because it will take you away from God and that you have to turn your sins over to Him
This is about not only our struggles with sin, forgiveness, and repentance, but saying that we will no longer give into the ways of Satan- for if God is with us, who can ever be against us?
