(Alone 2 demo alternate lyrics in parentheses)

My brain is working overtime
I need something to ease my mind
'Cause as my thoughts go manic
I reel and start to panic
And there's no place to hide behind
I freak and then hallucinate
I go at lights when I should wait
My parents think I'm lazy
But damn, I'm going crazy
I can't help my mental state

Oh, la la - he's trippin'
La di da - mental slippin'
Take these brains
Out of my way

I work into a frenzied clip
I bite the corners of my lip
I'm losing my appetite
My pants don't even fit right
Take away the month old dip
Give me something for my hair (My hair could start a bowl cut fad)
A fresher pair of underwear (The state of my attire is sad)
'Cause if I was run over
By a brand new Range Rover
Ah, just skip it, I don't care (Hey, I'd actually be glad)

Oh, la la - he's trippin'
La di da - mental slippin'
Take these brains
Out of my way

(Do you really want me down?
Do you really want me?
Do you really want me down?
'Cause I'm waiting to see)

I tell the world to fuck itself
'Cause who decided what's sick or health?
And all the people I see
That's banking lots of Benji's
Make me want to puke myself
Start a brand new fashion trend
For those up on the deeper end
Sedatives and Nodoz
And edible pantyhose
On your plate, so dig right in

Oh, la la - he's trippin'
La di da - mental slippin'
Take these brains
Out of my way

Na na na na....na

I don't think the lyrics are 100% correct here. Anyway, I like this song. I think it's pretty self-explanatory.

Woah, I never knew that Rivers said "I tell the world to fuck itself." That's the first time I've heard him say fuck in a song. Weird. Well, swear in a weezer song. There is one Fuzz song I know...whatever. Awesome song, nonetheless.

These are the lyrics for the demo version as stated above. This song is great. The part where River's says "i tell the world too fuck it's self" and down he took that out of the alone II version because river's doesn't like curseing. He has really changed since he wrote the demo. He is into meditateing and such so that is why he didn't use the demo version on this song.

the alone II demo actually came before the weezer demo version and these are the "updated" lyrics. but yea i think it's obvious rivers now prefers the original alone II version.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
