Malchik Gay Lyrics

Malchick Gey, Malchick gey,
Malchick, Malchick gey,
Malchick gey, Malchick gey,
Malchick gey, Malchick gey,
Malchick gey, Malchick gey,
Malchick gey. Malchick gey,
Malchick .. Malchick, Malchick.
Handsome, tender, soft,
why do you look right through me.
Thinking, no I cant deny my feelings.
Growing, strong I tried
to keep believing, dreaming on.
And every time I see you I crave more,
I want to pull you closer, closer, closer, closer.
But you leave me feeling frozen.
Malchick gey, Malchick gey, I can be all you need.
Wont you please stay with me? Malchick gey, Malchick gey.
Apologies might-have beens. Malchick gey, Malchick gey.
Can’t erase what I feel. Malchick gey, gey Malchick gey.
Malchick gey, Malchick gey, Malchick gey, Malchick, Malchick.
Choking back emotion,
I try to keep on hoping for a way,
a reason for a both too come in close.
I long for you to hold me like a boyfriend does.
And though my dream is slowly fading,
I want to be the object, object, object, object,
Of your passion but it's hopeless.
Malchick gey, Malchick gey, I can be all you need.
Wont you please stay with me? Malchick gey, Malchick gey.
Apologies might-have beens. Malchick gey, Malchick gey.
Can’t erase what I feel. Malchick gey, gey Malchick gey

Okay, with Malchik Gay translated as gay boy, it's easy to see how the story goes...but before I knew what Malchik Gay meant in Russian I honestly thought this was a song about a lesbian in love with a straight girl.

They're friends, this girl is tender and soft, not rough like a man, but she doesn't think of girls that way. The lesbian girl wants to be held like the straight girl holds onto her boyfriend "but it's hopeless." The straight girl finds out about her friend being attracted to her and is either shocked or outraged, causing apologies and all kind of wonders of what might have been. She would like to remain friends but she can't change the fact that she loves the girl.

So, yeah, I know that's not what it's about, but I like that idea the best.

i like your interpritation

Then rate mypersonalsun's comment up!

I also agree with mypersonalsun's interpretation. This also goes along with the fact that at the time of this album, they were still giving off the impression of lesbians to everyone, so this interpretation really hits home. Plus, it fits in a lot with my life, so I like it. :D

Well I used to have the first english CD but I lost it so I can't tell you wants wrong with the song but the title does mean Gay Boy and I do think it is about a girl that falls in love with a gay guy.

Oh, and by the way, the lyrics posted here are wrong.. it's not 'apologies, mother please' it's 'apologies, might-have-beens'; instead of 'I long for you to hold me like a boyfriend does' it's 'I long for you to hold me like your boyfriend does', and instead of 'Of your passions body hopeless', it's 'Of your passion, but it's hopeless'.

Yep. ^^

Even though the girls are portrayed as lesbians, I do not think their songs completely have to be put in that box. It makes more sense when you look at the songs then. Think of the one singing is a girl and the person she is singing to is a boy. The boy can never be hers because he is interested in his own gender. They might be friends even, but there is the onesided crush. That would be the cause of torment for the one singing as the feelings were doomed from the very start. Again, this can be portrayed as a homosexual individual in love with someone of his or her own sex who happens to be straight and taken. That is my view point at least.

This song is written from the perspective of a girl who likes a gay man. It's so blatantly obvious, I'm not sure why people even ask.

As far as the lesbian thing goes, they signed a contract, they portrayed lesbians as that contract told them they had to . . . at least one of them is bisexual. Blahblahblah. I don't see why the premise of the band matters if the music is good.

And "Choking making motion" should be "Choking back emotion", right?

Yep.

first of all, the lyrics here are slightly wrong. the song is about a girl who is in love with a gay boy and she wishes she can have him but he doesnt think about her that way because he is gay.

Well, ACTUALLY, in response to Juan-PB, I know where you're coming from, because my original thought was that it could be about plural guys too. HOWEVER, after further reviewing my Russian and asking my professor just to double check, I found that to be incorrect. If the word said was in fact malchiky, then the sound at the end of malchik would have to be a long e sound. However, if you listen to the song closely, the next sound/word is definitely a long a, not e. Therefore, it would have to be "malchik gei" because -ei is the only way to make a long a sound in russian that makes sense. So it is definitely "malchik gei" (gay boy), not "malchiky" (boys).

The song is definitely "Malchick Gei" because that is what it says on the album cover <.< There is no reason to listen closely and interpret it. It is right there in the title!!

It is about a girl who thought she was a lesbian but then fell in love with a gay boy. Listen to "Loves Me Not" from the next album. It is a different spin on the same story.

Thank You, for the proper lyrics, finally!... And to ALL those people over the years wondering it's meaning: it's obviously about the yearning for and of a gay boy and the desire to have the one you want most, but cannot. It's purpose was to appeal to ALL stereotypes, so as to sell and popularize everywhere. And it's to be interpreted by ALL audiences, hetero-homo-bi-sexual, etc. Although t.A.T.u.'s predominant theme was geared heterosexually. Pardon, But I just HAD to get that off my chest, even though I'm personally a WAY bigger fan of the Russian version (along with mostly all of their other songs, both old and new.)... And although I've known the lyrics to both for a long while now, I've never in the past 5 years of coming to this site, bothered to sign up & post them myself. But now I've made my mark, and maybe my reply will still be here 5, 10, 15, or even 50 years more. Until I come back, =] ...Да здравствует t.A.T.u.! -tommy
