this, if it is not obvious by the name, is my favorite blindside song. anywho, i think it is about a girl who relies on other's veiw of her for her self-worth. i know too many people lik this, and it really hurts, so this song is especially meaningful, not to mention the great lyrics, and how well-written they are.
wow i think you did a really good job. blindside lyrics are really hard to tab. but i think the line in the second verse goes, "but my words land far from your heart." (?not positive though?) are you gonna do the lyrics for "painting"? its my favorite song off the silence album.
I think blindside new cd is awesome, its a lot different from there other stuff buts its very good, and this song is a good example of the good new stuff. this songs is a very good song.

I have this idea that this song is about anorexia.... I have no idea if I"m right or not but that's basically what it means to me.
ok here's another comment on this song......3 months on to the day! I've been through hell and back in the last couple years, and the last couple months particularly, through depression. while I still hold the position that this song may be a bout depression, I also think that he's singing to a girl who has a messed up view of herself, whatever that may be. depression often makes you think that you're something you're not (normally bad) and so this song has given me a lot of hope through the last couple months. 'sister I'm sorry but it's not your call/to create this lying image of yourself/but there is hope sister' beautiful. Peace and God bless....Kiz
i think this is about a guy that has a girlfriend that is just really negative and has alot of hate in her heart.i love this song!!
It sounds to me like it's about anorexia/bulimia, also, or just negative self-image in general.
it always makes me think of my friend who is anorexic. describes how I feel about her situation perfectly.
