ok here's another comment on this song......3 months on to the day!
I've been through hell and back in the last couple years, and the last couple months particularly, through depression. while I still hold the position that this song may be a bout depression, I also think that he's singing to a girl who has a messed up view of herself, whatever that may be. depression often makes you think that you're something you're not (normally bad) and so this song has given me a lot of hope through the last couple months. 'sister I'm sorry but it's not your call/to create this lying image of yourself/but there is hope sister' beautiful.
