Snake Eyes And Sissies Lyrics

wrench is just a household god but i carry mine with pride
i dont' worj but i can worj with it to split your smile
run you down without a twitch, your car's just not as big as mine
tear the son out of your bitch and sprinkle your remains with lime
i ain't no working man, i do the best i can, i got the devil's hand
my afternoon's remote control
daydream milk and genocide
tranquility with broken knees, silly putty enemies
butter knife in your side
what i got i got for free, middle finger technology
what's yours is mine, yours is mine, told you fucker, yours is mine
snake eyes for sissies
i ain't no working man, i do the best i can, i got the hdevil's hand
rollin' sixes
i am the habit man, i use up all i can, i got the slacker's hand
i am the pedophile's dream
a messianic peter pan
just a boy, just a boy, just a little fucking boy, i can never be a man
i ain't no working man, i do the best i can, i got the hdevil's hand
rollin' sixes
i am the habit man, i use up all i can, i got the slacker's hand
i ain't no working man, i do the best i can, i got the hdevil's hand
i am the habit man, i use up all i can, i got the slacker's hand
(oh no, oh no)

My take is that it is about gamblers but not just them basically anyone who takes what's not there's rightfully, in one sense he could be talking bout those on welfare in the line i am the habit man, i use up all i can, i got the slacker's hand i ain't no working man, i do the best i can, i got the devil's hand i am the habit man, i use up all i can, i got the slacker's hand (oh no, oh no) it seems like he's referring to them or anyone who expects anything for free. just my view on it. plus this is one of the best Manson songs EVER

i guess this song is about taking what you want... seeing the "Snake eyes for sissies..." probly means...if you're not tough enough to take what's rightfully yours you'll end up with "snake eyes" which is basically nothing....

Best song on Portait IMO.

Many things in this song, the above posted summed up the whole song to me. Alot of references to pedohiles (like the rest of portrait) as well as a christ like peter pan. Some violence thown in with some abortion side tones make this a great manson song.

Plus one of the best lines in any manson song "Tear the Son out of your bitch..."

@iconofsin the vibe I always got from this song is basically self explanatory. If you grow up a sissy, (as Manson said himself, he was once a mama’s boy and was ashamed of that) if u grow up sheltered, isolated etc. it can fuck you up, leave you helpless thus corrupting you, even. Therefor the weak are actually quite strong and don’t even know it. They know pain, just like someone with snake eyes has dealt the same injustices as many so called weak people have dealt with in society in all sorts of ways.

It almost seems to me that he is mocking traditional views of masculinity. That's just my take on it.

I think the central theme to this track is how try to make ourselves stronger by denying our mortality. He uses allusions, paradoxes, and metaphors to express this denial. The "milk and genocide" is a paradox of life and death. Youth and demise. "Messianic peter pan" conveys the idea that one can only be strong if they live forever. Likewise, Peter Pan was a young boy who never grew old. The conflict comes when he realizes that the price of fame is loss of manhood which is the essence of his being. Therefore, he exclaims I'm "just a little fucking boy. I could never be a man." This is the tragedy of the song. All in all, the title is a statement that we should not let our lives be decided by a simple roll of the dice or "snake eyes". We must decide our fate or else we are just "sissies" with broken knees constantly bowing in acquiesence. Great song. Some of the same ideas appear in Strange Same Dogma.

@xb00042 yes. Ginger milk. not daydream milk. Ginger milk. I like your interpretation. Have you given your thoughts on Wrapped in Plastic yet?

There are deefinately some referances to Charles Manson in this song, "tear the son out of your bitch" may be a referance to Susan Atkins wanting to take Sharon Tate's baby out of her postomously. "and sprinkle your remains with lime," Charles once asked one of his 'family' the best way to decompose a body and he was told to use lime.

I belive it's about gambling...because gambling is considered a "sin", hence "I ain't no workin man, I got the Devil's hand..rollin sixes"....

That's just my interpretation. It seems to me that Portrait of the American Family holds a lot of references to modern day families, in other songs as well such as "Wrapped in Plastic" in which he refers to people who keep their furniture wrapped in plastic to "keep the dirt out"..

i think you're all right. i'm not saying that to be all uniting, i could care less. but fro mthe lyrics, it seems like he's speaking of different ways or parts of the world that he hates and mocking them. as far as the abortion theory goes, he's n against it, so i think he's mocking the pro-life fuckers with that line. great song IMO
