As said before, the chorus is about misconseption, someone gets no love, and when he's in a mental institution, the nurse is the only one who has ever cared for him, and he thinks he's the only one who she actually loves, because she acts "just" like a nurse with the other guys, making it seem like "Oh, I know she's a nurse, but she takes so good care for me, unlike all the other guys" They're brilliant lyrics. Very sad.
The failure version is 1000000000030429234 times better than this one, maynard mutilated it. If any of you hate this song, if you heard the faliure version first, i'm sure you'd think it's the best song ever. it's one of my favorite songs off my favorite album ever. KEN AND GREG RULE! |

This is a great song. It gives many interpretations. One of them is that it's in a relationship, and how they feed on you, and people laugh at you. Another one is a sexual reference and feeding on you while you sleep means being eaten out down under. Another interpretation is the drug connotation, and you feel like the drugs set you up for addiction and being pained. |

On the failure documentary he explains that this song is about when he was recording fantastic planet and felt alone and not really there because of his raging herion addiction hence the "living on the moon" He's calling his mind a hidden cell of chemicals, meaning he's overrun by drugs and his mind is numb with drugs. |

When I heard "7 years has gone so fast" I thought of like people have 7 years of bad luck, and they sleep through it or something...thats just my opinion. And his dad died 22 years ago and he probabily wrote this song 2 years ago when it was 20 years exactly. |
