I can strongly relate to these lyrics. "Promise me you'll try to leave it all behind 'Cause I've elected hell lying to myself why have I gone blind? leave it all behind" Seems he's talking too Himself. Ben claims to be a Christain so.. "Promise me you'll try to leave it all behind". Talking about trying not to get caught up in this world. "Cause I've elected hell, lying to myself". Talking about all the bad choices he's made and how those choices have a spot in hell. Talking about how he keeps telling himself he'll change and continues to make bad decisions "lying to myself" "Why have I gone blind, leave it all behind" Maybe coming to the realization that he's blinded by this world..
