Wake Up Lyrics
I’m not sober all the time
You bring me down at least you try
Until we see this eye to eye
I don’t want you
I must be running out of luck
Cause you’re just not drunk enough to fuck
And now I’ve had it up to here
I don’t, I don’t want you
It took so long to see
You walked away from me
When I need you
Wake up I’m pounding on the door
I’m not the man I was before
Where the hell are you
When I need you
Wake up I’m pounding on the door
I won’t hurt you anymore
Where the hell are you
When I need you
I’m not angry all the time
You push me down at least you try
Until we see this eye to eye
I don’t want you
It took so long to see
You walked away from me
When I need you
Wake up I’m pounding on the door
I’m not the man I was before
Where the hell are you
When I need you
Wake up I’m pounding on the door
I won’t you hurt anymore
Where the hell are you
When I need you
It took so long to see
You walked away from me
When I need you
Wake up I’m pounding on the door

I totally love this song, this whole album pretty much rocks to me, and to me, is way better than One X was. This was the song that made me fall in love with 3DG, especially the first two lines in the second stanza.
To me, this song is about a guy who used and used a girl for his own means (in other words, she's a warm body with a hole to be blunt), and didn't give a f*** about her. He'll take her when he wants her, and then cast her off when he doesn't, without a second thought. Then one day, he woke up, and she wasn't there when he wanted her, and he realizes he needs her in some twisted way. But, she had had enough of his BS, and had left him. He tries to beg and plead her to come back, telling her she's changed but she's had enough of it, and won't take him back. It's tragic really, if you think about it.
One of 3DG best songs.
About a broken/abusive relationship.."I won't hurt you anymore"
And how if she lets him in he'll change... Hes a changed man
"wake up I'm pounding on the door I'm not the man I was before"
Doesn't Have to be abusive could just be physiological "Hurt"
The song is about a depressed relasionship in which the guy is only in it for sex however the girl he is with is not appreciating how he treats her he begins to tell her that he does not need her because of her constant fighting and depressed state Then when she leaves him he needs her because he understands that he can't find anyone else and that she was the only girl he wants therfore in the morning and night he pounds on her door telling her he's changed and that he will now love her but she won't beleve him and the relasionship goes in circles.
This is about an abusive relationship and then the abuser regretting it.
This song hits me hard. I think its a lot deeper then just one persons actions, i think its the result of a series of actions between them both.

I was in a perfect relationship for almost 2 years when my sister was in a horrible accident and passed away. I was in a perfect relationship for almost 2 years when my sister was in a horrible accident and passed away. I told him I wasnt going to be ok, and knew i was stronger then him, that if he wanted to leave me i would understand. I was in and out of rehab, psych wards, and bars. I shut down emotionally and pulled away from him even tho i needed him and in return he started acting out for attention, doing things that hurt me and made me pull away even further. This went on for 6 mo until he finally broke up with me. For the last year ive been seeing other people, going back to him here and there, doing my own thing we got back together and he constantly held everything ive ever done against me and refusing to give me a real chance, but wants me around catering to him like i owe him something. He doesnt quite understand that he walked away when i needed him the most, and that im not that person anymore i wont hurt him anymore, i love him, and still need him, but unless we can agree on something it wont work.
It's obviously between two people who had a relationship that wasn't going to well so the other person left, and the dude is regretting all the mean and hurtful things he did to to that other person, thus he goes to apologize claiming he isn't "the man i was before" once he realizes that he still cares about the other person....or that's my thoughts on it.
The guy get's drunk. he does things to his girlfriend that he regreats when the aclcohol wears off. The girl makes him realize what he does to her, when she leaves him. he wants her back, and not just for the sex.
my stepdad made this speech at least 90 times and my mom is enough of a dumbass to have believed it all 90 times.
Reminds me of me, in the sence that i was a jerk in the past and i would always ask for forgiveness and i would get it, but i just regret it, its likes using a girl which isnt cool. I may even be doing it now to the girl that i love more than my g/f
I agree with whats been said, and actually this is one of the best songs on the album.
This is a good song form them. This song is about a guy who has a bad relationship and regrets what he has done to his g/f and when the aclcohol wears off the girl makes him realize what he does to her, when she leaves him, Just like what "Just some asian" said.
