also: h.caulfield - that is exactly what I thought when I first heard this song. Except I couldn't think exactly what it reminded me of and I just kept getting the image of the Ant Hill Mob from Wacky Races. |

"We never even noticed that
There always was a reason
That we were never meant to be left alone"
That bit, I always get this thought in my head like if they're left alone together, they'll get up to naughty things, when they shouldn't really |

| The Fall of Troy – Shhh!!! If You're Quiet, I'll Show You A Dinosaur Lyrics
| 18 years ago
|
"Such a pretty face, such a shame that it's not gonna smile today!"
Probably my favourite line in the whole album...dunno why. I love how Thomas can just alternate his vocals so extremely as demonstrated in this song!
This song makes me think of Macauley Maculkin in the way that it's like a guy who's obsessed with a girl or obsessing over a relationship and he's just one step away from maniac |

| Dance Gavin Dance – Lemon Meringue Tie Lyrics

Hmm, maybe it's about a guy who is cheated on by his girlfriend but no matter what, he still goes back to her even though he knows that she's just using him, he still feels compelled to stay with her |

I wonder if Thomas has ever visited Homestarrunner.com because the "Call out" and "shot down" bits sound exactly like Strong Bad's "Trogdor!" |

| Alexisonfire – Adelleda Lyrics
|
Also, not that it's anything to do with the song meaning, but Adelleda is a palindrome - read the same backwards as forwards.
What are peoples' thoughts on the "last three words" that "destroyed every inch" of Dallas?
Possibly - "Let's end it"?, "Let's break up" or even "I love you"? |

| The Fall of Troy – Macaulay McCulkin Lyrics

It makes me think of some guy who's obsessed with a girl, she turns him down and he goes all stalker weirdo on her, either ending with him killing her or possibly just warning her that he'll do it. I think someone said it above anyway.
Also, I agree with forever_haunted about that part of the song; the rhythm of the words matched with the music is just awesome! |

| SikTh – Such The Fool Lyrics

You know, I don't really think it's a sexist song. He's not saying all girls are like what he's describing, just a certain few.
And yes...I'm a lady. |

| Fear Before – …As A Result Of Signals Being Crossed Lyrics
| 19 years ago
|
I always imagine that this song and "Complete and Utter Confusion" are somehow linked.
If you put both song titles together, it makes a little sense:
"Complete and utter confusion as a result of signals being crossed"
I dunno really what it has to do with the songs' meanings, but it's just something to think about. x |

It's just got that bouncy rhythm that makes you want to dance like a fool...I can't wait for the 28th Nov, 3rd + 5th of Dec when I finally get to see them live! |

I was lucky enough to see them 3 times live. Awesome sweaty shouty singalong gigs. Probably the best in my life. I left the venues with an incredible sense of satisfaction! |

I love how a band as heavy as JT can sing such lovely lyrics.
Definitely my favourite JT song ever, not only 'cos it's just awesome, but Olly dedicated it to my friend and me one time when we saw them live. |

| We Are Scientists – Secret Handshake Lyrics
| 20 years ago
|
Just a few minor errors:
"Gotta sell some posse" - is "Got ourselves a posse"
"Everybody's circling around themselves" - Is actually "Everybody’s certain of themselves"
and "Get insp.? for effort" is "Got A's for effort" |

I guess there's no more to say about the meaning of this. So I can now say how much I love it!!
It always makes me think of CSI when listening to it too |

I dunno - maybe it has happened to him who knows?
Luckily, I'm only 4 years younger than Dallas (and a girl btw) so I could be "right up there by his side."! lol
Except I prefer his friend George... |

No comments? Why not?!
The instrumental ending of this song has to be the best in any Minus The Bear song. It just makes me want to get up and dance in a stupid way! |

I reallly can't believe this is sung by the same Dallas Green! This song is awesome!
I guess what TheRapture said about the meaning sounds about right so I'm not going to say anything else on the subject! |

I really hate Dallas Green...so much!
Why does he have to write such beautiful songs?!
This one actually made me cry! Not even "Sometimes (I Wish)" did that!
Damn him!
I guess the meaning's quite simple - about how touring has taken him away from a girl he loves and she's tired of waiting for him to return so she's found someone else |

| Million Dead – Margot Kidder Lyrics

Also, I think I read somewhere that Margot Kidder is bi-polar. So maybe Frank is saying that being in a band and then going about 'normal' life feels a bit bi-polar and that they are two separate personalities in one. |

| Million Dead – It's A Shit Business Lyrics

Well, I suppose it's about the state the music industry is in at the moment. The title (I'm guessing) is a quote from The League of Gentlemen, as said by ex-Creme Brulee rhythm guitarist, Les McQueen ;-) |

When I first heard this line "And then you'll get cancer
And then you'll die." I laughed out loud. It just reminded me how great a band Million Dead are that they can sing a line like this and it sounds good |
