Act One, Scene One Lyrics

Open wide! Space and time distort the mind.
Constantly we dance in sheets,
it feels so right to be so wrong.
Normal love set aside, leave your
heart at the bedside...
Contaminate the air like you do,
swear I'm telling you the truth.

Jaded masquerade. No names.
Contradicting fates. It's all the same.
I'm telling you the truth, telling you
the truth I swear...

I just want your attention baby, every sweat soaked night, every taunting fight!!!

Lock the doors, turn off the lights, remove all your clothes!!

Sex. But not just sex with a lover, sex with someone who wants sex too. Fuck buddies if you will,

"Normal love set aside, leave your heart at the bedside..."

just says to me that hey, you want it, I want it, but we don't really have a thing for eachother, so let's fuck. No one's getting hurt.

No it's attention, trust me, I have the cd and it says that in the insert. That part is hillarious, it just sounds so R&B.

Great new song, one of the best off Doppelganger, the outro is amazing. They should've made some new songs rather than redo 5 of them.

Love the solo in the middle of the song. As well as the outro. Kicks ass. I agree with Snoochimus' interpretation of the song. Just sex, no strings attached.

While of course the song is about no-strings sex, the speaker seems to want more, or at the very least find the practice annoying. He calls it a "jaded masquerade" after all. Seems this isn't just about no-strings-attatched sex, but also against it.

I totally agree with Snoochimus.

"Jaded masquerade. No names. Contradicting fates. It's all the same."

-It's a tiring cover-up -- the constant no strings attached sex. -But he won't name any names, because he doesn't want her to know he feels that way. -They are contradicting fate by what they are doing. That's not what their meant to be doing.

"I just* want your attention baby, every sweat soaked night, every taunting fight!!!

Lock the doors, turn off the lights, remove all your clothes!!"

-Pure Mockery. He's just mocking everything they do, and her.
