Sonny wrote this song talking about himself and his life. "I can't eat; anything Without shoving my hands down my throat And I refuse to leave the world without smearing on makeup With my hair blinding my eyes Whoaaaa Blinding my eyes" This is about Sonny's battle with Bulimia and how he always hid his face to hide his acne and the scars that it caused. "I can't remember The last time I've seen my own eyes Or the color of my skin Do you know What it's like to feel ugly all the time" I think this part is pretty self-explanatory. He's saying he can't look at himself in the mirror because he thinks he's ugly. "I stretch myself across the world Pushing my limits for your entertainment And you had the nerve To call out my weaknesses And drag me through the dirt" I think this line shows where Sonny was starting to show how he was unhappy touring and performing. I think that at this point he was feeling unloved by his fans and that he was stretching himself too far and he wasn't happy with what he was doing. I think he was also upset with people pointing out his every flaw, which can be dangerous to someone who already has body issues and doesn't think he is good enough. This is such a hard song to listen to as someone who loves Sonny and thinks he is beautiful. You can just hear the hurt in his voice. This song is just heartbreaking. |

Actually, Sonny was on Dear Diary and Heroine. Dear Diary being first and Heroine being second. He left the band after Heroine. And I think it's blatantly obvious that Sonny wrote this about his life, considering he was adopted. |
