no, I really like these lyrics. I think it's about her liking a boy who's with someone else and she can tell he's unhappy being with the someone else. and the line 'You could even find love in the arms of someone else’s girl.' I think the 'someone else's girl' is her, saying that she's with someone but she's not that happy either. I like it. It show's the unhappieness that can be had even when your with someone. The way it feels to be with someone while wanting someone else. The way it feels to want someone who is already someone elses. kind of reminds me of a relationship I'm trying to start right now, though he's not truly with someone and i'm not truly with anyone either. | nooo you guys. i think you're all trying to make it mean too much. Like, it's cool if all the losing virginity stuff is how this song relates to you or whatever but its a far stretch to say that you think thats what he was getting at. although i do agree, i can see it being that. I'm thinking it means simply that he's fallen in love, and with love comes a lot of hardships (not knowing if they love you back, heartbrake, etc.) and you don't have to do deal with such things when you're a kid so he feels he must be growing up. and he doesnt know if he's ready for it.. or if he wanted it to be this way. ok the virginity aspect about this had never crossed my mind before but i guess now that i'm thinking about it, it does make a lot of sense but i dont think i *want* it to mean that. I want it to be about losing your innocence entirely, not just by means of sex. but a good song should mean whatever the listener needs it to mean for them. i hope that makes sense | |

I think this song is about 'him' having some kind of problem that's constantly making him go to the hospital. Like maybe a drug problem? And when he says 'everything I see repeats over and over' I think that's what means he has been at the hospital before. I think he feels bad because he's bringin 'her' into these situations so often. Like an abusive husband or... WOW maybe this is about him being abusive and maybe the 'repeats over and over' is how he's been there so many times taking care of her at a hospital. She's been advised But nothings right All the things he's done have come to destroy their lives ---- She knows how he is but still comes back, the things he's done (hurting her) he realizes are fucking things up. Why she still comes to stay with me.. (I'll forget.) ---- He doesn't know why she still comes back to him (Is he okay?..) I think, it's obvious he's missing someone when he talks about 'waiting for the phone to ring' and he says he sitting next to the phone so maybe he feels he's been waiting too long. 'I sing this song to you' he wants who ever he's talking about to know how he feels, and I guess he wasn't the right person for who he's talking about 'I'm sorry i wasn't what you're looking for' And 'you just don't get it', possibly, means that he thinks he IS the right person, they just can't see that. 'life is always better after the fall', life is gonna be better now for him, and could be for who he's talking about if this person would just give it the chance. 'peices are raing down on me' , could be that 'peices' are the realizations of whats happened and thats where 'after all you've done to me' comes from. Now he sees what's really going on (the realizations) so 'won't wait, i can't beleive in...anything at all' is showing how possibly he can't beleive what he's realizing or that he can't beleive in this person ever really coming back/beleive in them changing for the better. 'after all the pain you've caused..' he knows the horrible thing's this person has caused, most likely for him, but he still can't help but feel for them, and he still has hope. I think he hates that. '...strange that you don't seen to feel the same way', he's waiting for life to get better and he thinks, shouldn't you be too? 'write me off, bury me and leave me for dead' he wants to be forgotten, or possible to prove the he can take it. 'open wide, eat your words and choke on regrets' he heopes they realize what they've done too him. the last lines i think mean he wants you to see what the worst can look like, and he's willing to be your everything, and he wants you o have everything, but he's hopefull 'set up and ready to fall' thats just what i think.. i LOVE atfeh!! but isn't is a thorn FOR every heart, kids? |
