This and "Hold" are my favorite Saves The Day songs. I can relate to this, because I was (am) really infatuated with this guy. He has the most beautiful blue eyes and he's just... amazing. But when I'm near him, I get so nervous, I freeze up and start shaking and yeah, it's intense.

what the lyrics mean to me is... well... i like really this guy, but i'm too scared to tell him. but the thing is, i really don't even talk to him all that much. i'm just kind of.. in awe of him. but i would give anything to be with him. even just to be good friends with him, or just to talk to him and see him more than i do.

well now that i listen to it more, they aren't as bad in the beginning. but they get pretty bad towards the middle and end. the vocals i mean. but that could just be cuz im used to it now. i remember my first time hearing this song thinking, "how could they be satisfied with this recording?!" i couldnt believe it was taking back sunday. |

i..fucking...LOVE this song. i could really relate to it for a while. I loved someone so much, and that's why I was too scared to get into a relationship with them... I just thought I would end up hurting them. And that's because I had just gotten out of a long-term relationship where I broke up with the guy.. and hurt him... and yeah. It sucked. |

I think what happened was the girl just took advantage of him or used him. Stabbed him in the back in some way, all the while she knew what she was doing, but didn't care what it was doing to Alex, all she knew was that it gave her pleasure. |

My favorite Atreyu song.
"This is drawing on a personal experience I had with someone. I kind of embellished it to form the song. In a way the song could be about true love 'cause I will carry you on a broken back and blown out wings...live, love, burn, die' says it all. We live, we love, we burn with passion and desire for life and then we die. The key is to burn, to really live, experience life, feel passionate about something and give your whole being to it. i'm so in love with this song, i can relate to it well. i don't feel like getting all deep into the meaning, because everyone interprets songs different ways and that's what's so great about music, and i'm sure other people have said this, but i didn't read all the comments. i just think the "wounded" and "eyes of a tragedy" and stuff means he's expecting too much from someone who's had her heart broken already, and has given everything she has to someone else already and is just drained. |

i love this song. "to experience the bitter sweet, to taste defeat then brush my teeth" it just goes to show that even when you are going through hard times, some good WILL come out of it.. because atleast making it through hard times makes you stronger and smarter. and also it's good to experience bad things, because it makes you appreciate good things all the more. |

I think the point of this song, to some extent, is that he's not gonna complain about the things that go wrong in his life, he's just going to accept them and deal with them, because bitching about them doesn't get you anywhere.
anywho, their are lots of mistakes in with the lyrics of this song. i don't feel like pointing out all the corrections that need to be made right now though. ok well maybe i'll make some, because otherwise, the way it is now, kinda kills the purpose of the song.
it should be "never said nothing WITH flowers" not "never said nothing but 'flowers'" and it should be "And it seems to get much colder when you cry on your own shoulder. We all know the show must go on, guess I know, I guess I'll throw on..." instead of what you have. and it should be "But I won't complain, I'll open all the windows" not "or open all the windows" because that typo defeats the purpose of the entire song. and... yeah there are other different things, but apparently this is just a "demo" so i'll submit the album version. |

this song is awesome. i think it's mainly about just what it says. about people who live their life for God being unsure about doing-so because it can be hard.. but that they shouldn't be afraid to do it because if they just put their faith and love in God, it'll be okay. |
