really?? that sounds a little harsh, considering he was singing to a newborn. . . yeah. to me,, i'd say he embarrassed himself really bad in front of this girl he thinks is really pretty and now he doesn't want to be around her. because..he's...embarrassed... .. i'm done.

Anyway, back to the meeeaaaning. Something gives me the feeling he'd rather be where he is than anywhere with some certain person.

Chris said this song was first a lullaby he sang for a friends newborn or something along those lines. He liked it enough though that he turned it into a full out Saves the Day tune. Good stuff.

I've been thinking how this person is so highly regarded in his view, that he's blinded ("your light is the light of ten sunsets", kinda bright) when they look at this person (I think of a girl). They don't want to be with this person because they don't want to tarnish that view of them. Kind of out there...

actually i think it's a metaphor for being in a state of happiness and leaving sadness/depression behind. "cuz your light is the light of ten sunset circles" = darkness in life.

First of all, I absolutely adore this song. I'm really not a big fan of "emo" in general, but I respect Saves The Day because they sound different than the regular artists of this genre, who usually all sound the same to me. The song is about a guy who likes a girl so much that he's nervous around her- to an extent that he doesnt even want to be with her because he hates that lack of confidence. It's that feeling of idolizing/falling for someone so much that you're too scared to even come near them, for fear that they might not feel the same way about you. great song. love the accoustic version as well.

Dancing with your ghost...meaning dancing with the essence of you. and toasting the passing between us. ' i know i cannot see you, even if i wanted to' ..i think this song is about Him loving a girl, who doesn't feel the same anymore.their relationship ended and he still wants to be..'anywhere with her'
