Three Doors Lyrics
they whisper words into my ears
one speaks of truth and one speaks of my fears
my disabilities don't get in my way
i look to the future and live day to day
three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
they say there's three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
because only one leads to you
and who's to blame?
i could assume
the loneliness of my white room
i saw the circles inside the squares
and yet it can be so hard to be aware
three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
because only one leads to you
this is your only chance at immortality
i'll keep you safe but i will not give you the key
this is your only chance at immortality
i'll keep you safe but i will not give you the key
one speaks of truth and one speaks of my fears
my disabilities don't get in my way
i look to the future and live day to day
three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
they say there's three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
because only one leads to you
and who's to blame?
i could assume
the loneliness of my white room
i saw the circles inside the squares
and yet it can be so hard to be aware
three doors to go through
i only want the one that leads to you
because only one leads to you
this is your only chance at immortality
i'll keep you safe but i will not give you the key
this is your only chance at immortality
i'll keep you safe but i will not give you the key

I would go even further than that, Seraph. It seems here the persons saying even though they don't think the same way as most other people do in society (They question their faith but still have a strong connection to God outside the boundries of religious structure) and believe theyre seen the truth inside lies created by the church "Circles inside the square", they still doubt if they'll find God. I think to me, this is a song about fearing you've taken the right path towards God or not. This happens when you doubt religious structures, I should know, this is what I go through.
But I think the main thing Crosbys saying here, is no matter which form your faith takes, you must always find the right door yourself - be it in questioning what you believe, and in practising what you actually preach.
Uhmm yeah... but thats only what I think :)
This is one of my favorite songs. I think its about over coming obsticles to be with the person you want
I think this song has alot to do with choices as well.
Personal Note: I just LOVE it when the guitars kick in at the beginning!
The lyrics to the bridge near the end of the song, as found on the band site (realvast.com), are actually "I'll give you the strength but I cannot give you the keys."
However, when i'm listening to the song, i hear "I'll give you strength but I cannot give you the key."
I feel like those mean slightly different things... plural keys might open all three doors, right? But just one key, that would be the one that leads to "you". (Or to him.)
sigh... I love this song.
this song is about making choices and how you can't rely on othes to know the answer.
I just really need the correct bass tabs to this song! I love it. I need it. I want it. Obviously This song has to do with choices, living day to day and how day to day events can change your life. Kind of like the butterfly effect.
If you haven't already noticed, VAST's songs are very spiritual.
"They whisper words into my ears One speaks of truth and one speaks of my fears" -God's truth and the dark ones lies (our doubts & fears)
"Three doors to go through I only want the one that leads to you" -Heaven(the door he wants to go through), Hell and the third I'm not sure.. could be limbo or just to live a normal life and believe there is nothing else after it.
"This your only chance at, immortality, I'll give you strength but I cannot give you the keys." -He is refering to the strength that God gives us, but God cannot just hand over the keys to immortality. You have to find that on your own.
No. You're all wrong.
"they say there's three doors" can only refer to one man : Monty Hall.
