It seems here the persons saying even though they don't think the same way as most other people do in society (They question their faith but still have a strong connection to God outside the boundries of religious structure) and believe theyre seen the truth inside lies created by the church "Circles inside the square", they still doubt if they'll find God.
I think to me, this is a song about fearing you've taken the right path towards God or not.
This happens when you doubt religious structures, I should know, this is what I go through.
But I think the main thing Crosbys saying here, is no matter which form your faith takes, you must always find the right door yourself - be it in questioning what you believe, and in practising what you actually preach.
