I am the god of gods
Master of the arts
I desecrate the chaste
Writhe in the flesh

Blasphemy

Chant the blasphemy
Mockery of the messiah
We curse the holy ghost
Enslaver of the weak
God of lies and greed
God of hypocrisy
We laugh at your bastard child
No god shall come before me

Blaspheme the ghost
Blaspheme the ghost
Blaspheme the ghost
Blasphemy of the holy ghost

Do what thou wilt shall be the whole of the law
Rebel against the church
Drink from the chalice of blasphemy
Rise up against the enslaver

This song truly lives up to it's title. To Blaspheme the Holy Ghost is the one sin you cannot be forgiven for (As far as I can tell).

It's also the only song I know of that blasphemes the Holy Ghost, the sentiment of irreversable damnation scares the shit out of a lot of Aethiests.

Complete with the quote from Aleister Crowley's Book of the Law, this is a truly Theleman, if not Satanic Song.

Aside from it's content, its got a great sound. Even if it was done in 1989.

..., this has some of the best lyrics for a song, it is true if you are a pure anti-christ too, but i understand their hatred

Whoa.... Zanarath is right, the bible (I can't remember where) states that Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is the ultimate sin, and the only one for which there is no forgiveness. To be honest, while I listen to way heavier shit than this, this song still kind of freaks me out not the music or the vocals (both seem kind of gay and silly) it's just the concept, it's difficult to think that someone would actually go this far...

whoa hold on a sec guiffporn, this is a fucking SONG. who the fuck said that they actually do this shit? and quit trying to sound tough and cool "i listen to way heavier shit than this." yeah right, limp bizkit and slipknot don't count.

anyway, that being said, this song kicks ass. Pete Sandoval absolutely slaughters his drum set on this song.

the lyrics are not for the weak (that means you MTV fans)

Whats your problem dude? I'm not trying to sound "tough and cool" Limp Bizkit? are you joking? I listen to bands like Slayer, Converge, Killswitch Engage, lamb of God, God Forbid, Death and Obituary (among others). I was just making a point, that it's the concept that makes this song heavy for me, not the music.

God Forbid, Killswitch Engage, and Converge are all part of this new vomit scene Metalcore which is being passed off as metal and being played alongside bands like Obituary, Suffocation, etc. Those aforementioned bands sing of emo bullsh*t and veganism, not blasphemy. Morbid Angel is ten times as heavier and evil than the mess you mentioned, minus Slayer, Obituary, and Death.

Ok, first off, Converge are Hardcore. I really don't give a shit if a band is evil or not, I listen to the bands I listen to, because they make good music. Killswitch Engage are producing some of the best heavy metal for years, and their song lyrics are deep, the end of the world, spirituality and the death of loved ones, being just a few of the topics covered in their songs.

Disregarding a band because their lyrics are not blasphemous is fucking stupid, and suggests that you are less interested in good music and more in trying to look evil and intense, which quite frankly is pathetic.

It should only matter if the song sounds good to the listener. I don't see the point in subgenres.

And for the record, Trey Azagthoth is a practicing Satanist (similar to angelfire.com/ny5/dvera/ ), but they add semi-Lovecraft (actually Simon-Necronomicon) themes to some of their songs.

Morbid Angel Rulez, quiffgay doesn't understand a thing about metal, because he doesn't listen to it... just see what he says: "I listen to way heavier shit than this", like killswitch engange, god forbid and all that pseudo-metal shit.. The only heavy band he listens to is Fat Family, now that's a HEAVY band.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
