I am on your side
And we're always right.
It's perfect
But worth it?

You're on my side
And we're always right
It's a circuit
But it gets worse, yeah.

I am your side
And we're always right
It's a circuit
But it gets worse, yeah

Cuz you need me to die in the comfort of my own home
...of my own home.
...of my own home.

A perfect opener for "Know By Heart." I love putting this on mix CDs for people because the title is so misleading and it's hilarious when you actually hear the song. I think this song is about ignorance. Sort of isolating yourself so that you'll feel that your feelings are in the right.

This song is far too, easy, he's just saying they're together and they're perfect, and its worth it. But becuase they are perfect, they function with out flaw, monotonous, protocol, routine, like a circuit. You can follow around the circumference of a circuit over and over, it doesn't get any longer, and it won't break. But that leave's the relationship boring, and without spontaneous-ness. So he dies in comfort, not that he's not okay with it, it's just that we'd all rather have a relationship that has thrills.

The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
