You Can't Handle This Lyrics
Making young girls pine/
I don’t have the time/
Babies get in line/
I’ve got a protractor/
Got a stapler now/
it goes “Ka-ching”/
gotta have the math club crown me king/
gotta rock the screen with the cosine graphing/
on my calculator/
If you’re up/
and if you want/
a piece of me/
wave goodbye and blow a kiss/
‘Cause you can’t handle this/
chorus
No, No, No/
you can’t handle this.
Through my glasses glare/
you’ll see savoir faire/
beneath my icy stare/
I’ve got a retainer/
Maybe I’m the physics main event/
maybe I’m the chem club president/
maybe even Texas Instruments/
thinks that I’m coplanar/
If you’re up/
and if you want/
a piece of me/
wave goodbye and blow a kiss/
‘Cause you can’t handle this/
bridge
And Leonard Nemoy/
can’t stand up to this/
And Captain James T. Kirk/
bows beneath my fists/
And I am awesome/
awesome/
I am the awesomest/
I don’t have the time/
Babies get in line/

What a funny song. I think they're proving a point they've proven many a time, just because you're a dork doesn't mean your a good person. The song is sung in a sarcastic way like he's the king of dorks. It's like handbook for the sellout.
I don't think that's the message at all. I think Reese and the gang are just poking fun at themselves, which is a common theme throughout their songs. While doing so, they are bringing attention and increasing acceptance of a lifestyle that has long been considered antisocial and "weird." Lots of us grew up playing video games and reading comics, and only now is it really starting to become widely socially acceptable.

I suppose! =)
I used to not be albe to stand this song. Then i heard it live, and it all clicked. I'll never get the image of hundreds of people rocking the vulcan sign at Warped Tour for my entire life.
Wow, thats really amusing. A very clever way of saying something completely odd. I would have never thought to use this topic for a song. Well done, well done indeed!
this song is about how people really make fun of smart people because they are jealous. to quote resse "you'll be the one goign to harvard and they'll be workign at food lion"
i dont think so guys.
i think it means people who are smart/dorks/geeks mayb seem lesser than other more "popular" people who are percieved as cooler especially in scenarios like high school but in reality its the other way round.
I love this song:
And Leonard Nemoy can't stand up to this And Captain James T. Kirk bows beneath my fists And I am awesome awesome I am the awesomest
I'm still trying to figure out what 'you'll see savior faire' means. the translation comes out to 'to know to make' so I guess it means 'you'll see how it's done' or something like that?
The better translation is "to know [what] to do." It's a phrase that in English is closer to "suave," or smooth in social situations. So "Through my glasses glare / You'll see savoir faire" means "Beneath the geeky surface, I am suave."

Joesolo: Savoir faire means handsome in french. The song is about a nerd who thinks he is awesome, and explains all of his standards, which are ridiculous. Is not a critic or anything, its just a comedy song
