When it's time to party we will party hard

You
You work all night (all night)
And when you work you don't feel all right
And we
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right

'Cause we will never listen to your rules (no)
We will never do what others do
(No)
Do what we want and we get it from you
Do what we like and we like what we do

So let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
Now it's time to party and we'll party hard (party hard)
Let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
When it's time to party we will always party hard
Party hard (party hard, party hard, party hard party hard, party hard)

All right
You
You break the thing
And when you play you feel all right
But we
When things stop feeling all right (all right)
And everything is all right

'Cause we will never listen to your rules (no)
We will never do what others do
(No)
Know what we want and we get it from you
We do what we like and we like what we do

So let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
Now it's time to party and we'll party hard (party hard)
Let's get a party going (let's get a party going)
When it's time to party we will always party hard
Party hard (party hard, party hard, party hard, party hard, party hard, party hard)
(Party hard, party hard, party hard, party hard, party hard)

To people who dislike Andrew W.K. and call him talentless, consider this:

Andrew is an accomplished and incredible pianist (his virtuosity was recently the subject of an entire episode of NPR's syndicated series "All Things Considered"), as well as an awesome composer, best evidenced by the fact that he writes EVERY PART of EVERY SONG entirely on his own. He's a deeply philosophical person, although most people in mainstream society can't with the fact that some people don't showcase their intelligence in some crazy-ass way, or that they don't demonstrate what is, to them, a tangible manifestation of intellect, and he refuses to act like he has something to prove. It's not in his nature to stand up and say, "Okay, I read _____ and I am going to say something really smart and wordy now." The guy who tried to insult another dude on this board with a bunch of bullshit words that he arranged poorly is an ass and will not be named, because he's an embarassment to every literate human being on the planet. And by will not be named, I mean emochris.

Look, if you can't lighten up and just enjoy the guy for being a great, energetic, passionate rockstar, then I'm sorry. Maybe nice, upbeat people aren't your sort of thing. Maybe you are an asshole. Yeah, come to think, you most definitely are.

Get over yourself and enjoy the music. The sounds are fun as hell, the songs are incredibly well-written, and he gets a riot going faster than an art teacher who shows off his Mapplethorpe prints to the class. Most people won't get it, probably, but those same people are psuedo-intellectual dicks who need to get laid, lay back and seriously, honestly, just party. And I don't mean the nauseatingly self-destructive high-school "get fucked up" mentality of partying, I mean existential partying, where conciousness is elevated to the point of worship via comraderie and pure energy. That's what Andrew's preaching, and you better get used to it, because he's taking over the world.

P.S. If you still think he's a dumbass, check out footage of his speaking engagements on YouTube. Talk about a genius.

life is not only about partying and women, nor is emo (or any other genre) only about being "whinny". don't stereotype.
anyways, upbeat or not, Andrew W.K. is still crap. even if he is "really cool". That doesn't make up for lack of talent. He's just a clever label ploy to get you to buy his record, and so far he has been succeeding. "There's one born every minute."

maybe if you weren't such an idiot, you wouldn't be listening to Andrew W.K.
Also: learn how to write; education is your friend. stop listening to andrew w.k. in class and start learning how to write coherent sentences.

What the fuck is happening to music? I can't even begin to comprehend how anybody can seriously like this shit. "Party Hard"? When I first heard this song I was laughing hysterically. Then I started to get furious when I realized pop culture will accept and appreciate Andrew W.K and join his cult while dissing on bands who decide to come up with great new and original ideas instead of cultivating every worst influence of music and calling it Andrew W.K. When I think of the phrase Andrew W.K only one object comes to mind. A piece of shit. Kids, listen to me and listen close. I am a strong believer in opinion and I acknowledge and respect the fact that what I think is terrible others might think is amazing and visa versa, and their is alot of music out their that our country's youth is appreciating and I don't agreee with it, But I still respect them for their opinions and treat them the same way I would treat someone who listens to obvioulsy better music. But Andew W.K is different it's a sick joke that the big guys at Island are playing on America. They even make him seem like a sincere and deep person with some of the writings on Andrewwk.com. Pretty soon the vulnerable children of America will start to follow the most fabricated band of the century and they will follow the rules of his testament. It's sad more then anything because the listener who contributes to this band by buying his CD also contributes to a cause of evil. What lies ahead for the future of America? Tragedy.

emochris i happen to do very well in school, whose stereotyping here? you stilll didnt make any sense. Andrew W.K fabricated? and N*Sync and Backstreet boys and all of them aren't. I'll admit he doesnt have amazing talent but not many musicians (especially pop acts) do, Im just saying at least he isnt like everyother successful music act (whether it be rap, rock, metal, pop whatever) that are so selfish and think there so amazing cause there famous. Andrew W.K isnt my favourite artist by a long shot, I do like some deeper songs by deeper artists but its a nice change from the ordinary. There's too much depressing things in this world and at least Andrew is trying to cheer people up a bit with somwhat comedic songs. plus he's not fake not by a long shot, and just cause I listen to him doesn't mean I'm a punk-ass kid who hates the world cause im not. And Landingstill, no kid will listen to you so why even try? if you don't like it you don't have to listen to it.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
