Playing in the dirt
We find the seeds of doubt
Don't water them with your tears
Don't think about all the years
You'd rather be without

Eden lets me in
I find the seeds of love
And climb upon the highwire
I kiss and tell all my fears

Falling down the mountain
End up kissing dirt
Look a little closer
Sometimes it wouldn't hurt

Playing in the dirt
We find the seeds of fun
And we scream like alley cats
Tearing down what we attack
To prove that we are one

Cutting through the night
And we find the seeds of lust
And lose our minds on one intent
These passions never seem to end

I was so happy to have had the chance to see this song performed live, even though the girl I went to see it with and I aren't together anymore. I got such a charge of inspiration from this song: a feeling that I could fall all the way to the bottom of a mountain, but get up and press on. Unfortunately, Michael Hutchence didn't feel the same in the end, and I feel we're poorer for the loss of him.

OK, I might be talking to the wrong generation, but a few years back when I was playing Grand Theft Auto (GTA3 I think), i think i heard this song on the soudtrack for the game when you are driving around shooting people, running them over, or just simply picking up a prostitute. so can anyone tell me that this is the song on that game?

It's actually not cool when you do fall down the mountain and get a scoop of earth in your pie-hole. ;)

    My Interpretation

Kiss the dirt took me a while to understand, as the execution of this song from a musical standpoint is flawless. It took me a real downer of a day to understand what Michael is saying. It's simple but the flow of life has a lot of ups (the mountains) and peaks (when you are going down) So when you are headed down, he is basically saying don't worry. Re-focus. You'll find your way back, or maybe even on a brand new path. Take a closer look at where you are at and go forward!

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
