I am watching the rise and fall of my salvation
There's so much shit around me
Such a lack of compassion

I thought it would be fun and games (it would be fun and games)
Instead it's all the same (it's all the same)
I want something to do
Need to feel the sickness in you

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

All I do is look for you
I need my fix, you need it too
Just to get some sort of attention (attention)

What does it mean to you? (what does it mean to you?)
For me it's something I just do (I just do)
I want something
I need to feel the sickness in you

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad (does it make me bad?)
I feel the reason as it's leaving me, no, not again (does it make me bad?)
It's quite deceiving as I'm feeling the flesh make me bad

Does it make me bad?
Does it make me bad?
Does it make me bad?

Does it make me bad?
Does it make me bad?

    Song Meaning

I believe that this song is defiantly about sex. In concert, Davis sometimes sings "I feel the semen as it's leaving me, no, not again". This song is about how he strives to feel compassion and love in his relationship, but he can only feel anything during intercourse. It is a deceiving feeling, because it feels like something real, but he knows it not. This is what makes him feel bad.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
