Twisted Transistor Lyrics

Hey you, hey you, Devil's little sister
Listening to your Twisted Transistor
Hold it between your legs
Turn it up, turn it up
The wind is coming through
Can't get enough

A lonely life, where no one understands you
But don't give up, because the music do
Music do [x6]

Because the music do
And then it's reaching
Inside you forever preaching
Fuck you too
Your scream's a whisper
Hang on you
Twisted Transistor

Hey you, hey you, finally you get it
The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it
And as your tears fall on
Your breast, your dress
Vibrations coming through
You're in a mess

A lonely life, where no one understands you
But don't give up, because the music do
Music do [x6]

Because the music do
And then it's reaching
Inside you forever preaching
Fuck you too
Your scream's a whisper
Hang on you
Twisted Transistor
Music do [x4]

Hey you, hey you, this won't hurt a bit
This won't hurt a bit, this won't hurt
Says who? Says who?
Anesthetize this bitch
Anesthetize this bitch, anesthetize!
Just let me be
Between you and me don't fit

Music do
And then it's reaching
Inside you forever preaching
Fuck you too
Your scream's a whisper
Hang on you
Twisted Transistor

You idiots, can you not see that there is nothing sexual about this song? Now go back and read the lyrics.

"Hey you, hey you, Devil's little sister Listening to your Twisted Transistor Hold it between your legs Turn it up, turn it up The wind is coming through Can't get enough"

Your Twisted Transistor, means a RADIO. Transistor was a term used for radio way back when. She's holding onto a radio, and 'Turn it up, turn it up, The wind is coming through' means SOUND, as in music, which travels through the air. Anyone ever turned up your base real loud and felt the vibrations?

A lonely life, where no one understands you But don't give up, because the music do Music do [x6]

The chick is lonely, obviously, and misunderstood, but she feels a sense of understanding in the music, I mean, don't you have songs that just click?

Because the music do And then it's reaching Inside you forever preaching Fuck you too Your scream's a whisper Hang on you Twisted Transistor

Obviously, the music is deeply affecting her, and the term 'forever preaching', just means that she's always gonna remember it. 'Your scream's a whisper' meaning that even when she screams, no one can hear. Ever had that feeling.

Hey you, hey you, finally you get it The world ain't fair, eat you if you let it And as your tears fall on Your breast, your dress Vibrations coming through You're in a mess

In this last area, the song goes on to say that the girl finally understands that the world isn't at all fair, and that if she doesn't hold strong, the world will destroy her, or consume her, hence the term eat. Then she's crying, and the music is vibrating, the sound so loud that she can feel it. And I KNOW all of your have felt that before. So think before you assume what a song means.

Song Meaning

That makes perfect sense man, thanks!

@Laruae only a brainless idiot could think this song is about sex

True that, Raven1856. Idiots thinking every single song is about sex or drugs. This song is all about feelings and society, I think Laruae is correct.

This song isnt about sex. People dont understand these things unless theyve gone through a similar situation and ive been through exactly what this song is about, its about how you can drown out your pain with music.  "A lonely life where no one understands you, but dont give up, because the music do"  JD is saying how no matter how misunderstood you are, music while always understand.  Twisted Transistor, meaning messed up radio/messed up music, is about a young girl who's self-hateful and abused verbally and/or physically, and how music comforts her no matter what she goes through, even if shes locked in her room sobbing and completely alone, how the lyrics can make you feel so much less lonely and almost become an addiction. I can relate to and understand this since when i was a young(er) girl (im only 14 atm), i was verbally abused and bullied really badly and was, at one point, suicidal because of it, this song (and some other korn songs) showed me i wasnt alone and helped me pull through. When you get that down, comfort becomes addictive, and you just cant get enough, and when your away from it you almost have withdrawl since no one understands you and wont listen even when you scream.  PS- 'vibrations coming through' doesnt mean she uses a vibrator, music IS vibrations, all sound is, and all the bass in music played loud enough can make you shake and feel the vibrations.

This song was written to preach to the lonely and desperate, and comfort them through their pain. Thanks -JR

Fascinating...truely. And although I agree with you in principle, there can come a time when music (like anything overused like food; prescription pills; risky sex; gambling; alone time; etc) can become a crutch. If one spends more time listening to music hidden away from the world than s/he has forsaken his own voice...and allowed music to speak for him. Giving ones power away for any reason is not good. We all need comfort, but too much of anything takes away from its intended use of healing; motivating; calming; invigorating; etc. Music, for some, becomes their voice. We need to live...

thats true~ i just got frustrated by everyone saying that this ones more for the beat than lyrics, and you youre not annoying, i like hearing others oppinions

This song is BRILLIANT! I don't know what a lot of you crazies are talking about..? KoRn sold out?! Shit, you guys.. Can't a band evolve it's sound and expression without having to be accused of selling out? I love every single one of koRn's song, from the earliest demo all the way up to this fantastic new single, "Twisted Transistor". That's because their music has helped me through the trial of my life, so I will forever in debt to them. I can't wait to hear the rest of "See You On The Other Side"... With "Hypocrite" and "Twisted Transistor", I think we're all for the koRn album of all times..!

You're rigth this song is fuckingawsome

i love this song am i the only one well i love korn i must be there biggest fan caz i have never been dissapointed in any of there music yet i love there new sound and the lyrics are completly wrong where it says "streets will whisper" its actually "your scareams will whisper" and this is what i heard the song means

JD : You know that feeling when you're alone in your room, you feel bad and nothing around you seems to be going well then suddenly when you turn on your radio, you are immediately 'deep in the music'. Thats exaclty the subject of Twisted Transistor with the lyrics : "A lonely life where no one understands you but don't give up because the music do". Musically, this track is, like all of the new album, very different compared to anything we've done before. There are still some heavy parts and others more cool and 'adventurous'. We have made an enourmous progress, that's for sure. This album is that good,i still cant realize it!

well i can relate to this song and i think its great.well done to korn looking forward to there new album see u on the other side

Your not alone man! I still love Korn! \m/.

Well I heard this today for the first time...

Very weird to say the least. I can't really say I prefer they're older stuff more, because so far I've liked almost all their stuff (although Life Is Peachy is deffiantely my least favourite album). Along with Metallica, Korn are my favourite band. But what the hell do you people mean when you say 'Korn sold out'... Whenever a band changes their sound they're labelled as 'selling out'. Firstly, maybe they've changed their sound to be more 'popular' but think about it... Metal isn't "cool" or "popular"... RnB is, so that shoots down the theory of this song being made to be popular or a chart topper. Secondly, Maybe they just wanted to change their sound, just because it isn't as heavy doesn't mean they've "sold out" and you really wouldn't want to listen to them if every album sounded exactly the same! Thirdly, what the hell is "selling out"... even if they are writting music to become more popular and make more money... so what? If you have a job and can move to another job at a new company and earn more money... If you take that job, does that mean you've "sold out"... no it doesn't. They've changed their sound and I kind of like it, but will not really comment until the album comes out and I heard the rest. So face it, they've changed... get over it.

I like it when bands change their sound. I'm interested in where Korn is going. The quality of the radio rip is shit. I wanna hear a better version of this.

is this Korn?

If somebody had listened carefully to Jon's voice, he would have found that there's a mistake in these lyrics. It's not "The streets will whisper", but "your scream's a whisper", don't you think? It's hard to sort out the meaning of a song, when you have the wrong lyrics, right?
