It's about hipsters. Straight up. Look at where they are from! They are from Portland, Oregon. Hipster capitol of the world. The song is clearly about hipsters. I mean, I thought this site actually told people what the song really means. Not just a bunch of hipsters sitting around pondering on what the song is actually about.
I suspect that this song may be about the the girl in the band (Zia). Maybe its a warning for boys not to date her?

This is the first song I heard from them... I like the song.
I think the song is about a girl who is very good at manipulating people. She is fake and the only reason why people still hang out with her is the fact that she keeps keeping them around with promises.
So they said: Boys and girls, beware.
But why wouldn't the people beware? Because she has hands like a Gods' (in my opinion, I would say 'hands' means something else... something else that boys like, and girls envy).
So, that's why they keep saying "beware" to both boys and girls, but to mostly boys... so they better.
That;s my opinion. Nifty song though.
It's about a girl who cares about nothing more than spending $ to look cool. it's all about appearances & watch for people who are all fluff & no substance. It's a great, sly way of taking a stab at those kinds of people.
