this song means alot!!!! its so great...it just a guy starting to fall in love with a girl...and he loves everything about her, hes trying to please her, he has accepted her way of life as his own because he is so mesmorised!!! This song is truely sweet...damn i wish someone had wrote it 4 me!!!

it's about a guy picking up a girl - thinks he's smooth, thinks he's playing the girl. Turns out, the girl is a complete maneater and he doesn't even realise it. In 2 months time, he will be the poor sap sleeping on the couch, not getting any, while this girl brings home a succession of guys and bangs them right under his nose.
And the sweet thing is that he won't be able to complain or looked bummed - not even a little - when he is eaten up with jealousy, because of his own rules - Mr "Casual, Casual easy thing".
Turns out love and sex is never really a casual easy thing. Someone always gets hurt. And Mr Smooth here doesn't realise that it's going to be him.
Well I'm from Portland Oregon where this band is from and I think The Dandy Warhols and this song in particular represent this town far better than some other bands that have made it big out of this town (Everclear please take note) Whenever I hear this song I always think of NW 21st and 23rd which are like the sort of rich bohemian neighborhoods here and all the coffee shops where the rich kids go to meet other rich kids...oh god I'm babbling I'm gonna shut up now
Just a little bit more than inspired by the Rolling Stones, don'tcha think? From the whoo-hoo-ooos to the guitar riff, it all seems like the Stones... which is definitely not a bad thing! Rock over London, rock on Chicago!

This song rocks. It's such a catchy tune, and while the lyrics are kinda generic it puts a different spin on them.
I think there is a mistake in the lyrics posted though, Ive always thought the last line of the first verse was 'See where looking pretty cool will get you" as opposed to what's posted.
Worldly perspective... this song was made big in Spain by the Vodafone commercials. These commercials really emphasized the importance of having fun, which in turn emphasized that meaning in the song.
