I think this song has two meanings, like nearly every of the "old" rammstein songs. I think in Sehnsucht are two meanings, but there could be more, even if i'm german.

I think the first meaning is very simple: Someone/He miss the sex with his ex-wife/girlfriend

And the second is: He loves to travel, and want to visit all the places he talked about or he talk about the women in this places.

for example: "Laß mich deine Träne reiten übers Kinn nach Afrika" and "Zwischen deine langen Beinen" The first sentence means Cap Horn in South Africa, and the second means Italia. There are even more places in the song, like mexico or the ocean.

One of my favorite Rammstein songs. It's about longing and how much it can hurt, be it longing for love, sex, or just longing to be somewhere else, perhaps even to lead another life.

Seems to be similar to the idea of an ostrich with its head in the sand. It sounds like he's saying that things weren't working but he used sex to make him ignore that, but now he can't ignore it because he can't stick his "head" in the "sand" anymore. Just a thought.

Yes this song is killer, I know the entire song but I don't speak a word of German. Love when he says "Der finger rutscht nach mexico"

Some have said that "zwischen deine langen Beinen..." ("between your long legs...") is a sexual reference. When commenting on the lyrics/translation videos of You Tube user #lyricsoframmstein, I said that "legs" was probably a metaphor for "trees" due to my limited ability to connect snow or sand to the vagina. (Yes, I know it's awkward.) However, after thinking some more and taking the rest of the lyrics and the album art (if nothing else) into consideration, I have decided that the song is about imprisonment and that the "long legs" are bars on a cell window; the narrator longs for freedom and adventure and does not even have a cell with a view of the outside world.
