The Heart of a Graveyard Lyrics
Everything in time
Set your eyes upon the shallow surface
Hollow out your mind
How divine, you disengage your self
Tell me
Tell me of your consolation
Tell me
I am lost in the gray
Tell me that your final hope is not a…
A shot in the dark
Tell me that your hopes and dreams don’t end in the heart
Of a graveyard
Set aside your soul
Let tomorrow realize itself
[Pre-chorus]
[Chorus]
Brace for the ending
You may not see
Will you stop descending
Six shallow feet
[Pre-chorus]
[Chorus]
Set your eyes upon the shallow surface
Hollow out your mind
How divine, you disengage your self
Tell me of your consolation
Tell me
I am lost in the gray
Tell me that your final hope is not a…
A shot in the dark
Tell me that your hopes and dreams don’t end in the heart
Let tomorrow realize itself
You may not see
Will you stop descending
Six shallow feet

I haven't studied the lyrics of this song in depth yet, but as a preliminary interpretation, I see the singer asking a fellow believer to help them regain hope in Christianity. Ryan Clark asks, "tell me that your final hope is not a shot in the dark" . That is to say, tell me that our hope, our beliefs are not false, and that we have a sliver of a chance that God and heaven is for real. The same general meaning is said through the second line "tell me that your hopes and dreams don't end in the heart of a graveyard." Just my to cents.
'I can't wrap my head around the idea of eternal nothingness after death. To me it seems like a much harder pill to swallow than a continued existence. Not to mention, a Hell of a lot less to look forward to. For every bit of joy that life has to offer, there seems to be a substantial amount of hardship and strain. Without the hope of some divine resolution, the journey seems gainless. Some will see it as a delusional faith, but who wants to die with a half-empty glass?' - Ryan Clark

@jizi801 To your first sentence, a 'Christian' belief of saying there is annihilationalism is not true Christianity.
