A man singing about a long-distance relationship across the Atlantic. It's been a long time since they were together (roads became a city). He's speaking of his faithfulness and his worry about hers (what would you say x2 vs what would you do - actions speak louder than words)

The man begins his journey, overseas (Ocean Blue). He is experiencing a duality of conflicting feelings of hurt and potential for growth.

"Drawn apart New York and London All i see now are distant drummings The roads i knew became a city And i wonder will you wait for me, oh"

The man has left his home in road-filled London for New York City. His relationship in London is now a long distance relationship, and he is worried that she will abandon him.

The man expresses his commitment to the relationship although he's overseas. He's still worried about the strain the distance puts on the relationship.

He tries to integrate into NYC society (Built a hive, became one with the bees). The relationship was struggling (we fell like rain, got lost into sea) and he starts to doubt staying in NYC (if I don't know the wind will carry me, so just hold tight).

"Over and over many setting suns I have run I have waited for the rain to come When through the mist I see [the shape of you] And i know I know that i'm in love with you"

The man has been in NYC for a long time, awaiting for himself to return to rainy London (waiting for the rain to come). He finally has returned, and sees his lover through the mist. Their love is renewed.

Such an uplifting song, makes me happy!

"I built a hive" I think the man, who may have a long distance relationship with his significant other, is attempting to live alone hence "hive" could represent a house.

"Became one with the bees" Now, the man is adjusting to society in which society stands for the bees.

"But we fell like rain" However, his life is not following up with society.

"Got lost into the sea" The man is literally lost, in a vast city.

"The wind will carry me" Although he's confused, the man will find way to readjust once more.

"So just hold tight" The man decides to let life take its course.

Ha ha, 'tis interpretation is my commentary, really. If people don't agree the world does not end.

In fact, the world becomes more broader.
