Something Good Can Work Lyrics
You gotta step up your game to make it to the top
To go-o,
Got a little competition now,
You're gonna find it hard to make it,
Livin' on your own, o-oh, o-oh
We're gonna show the world that something
Good can work, and it could work for yo-ou,
And you know that it will.
We're movin' up, we're movin' up
It's been a lot to change, but yo-ou
Will always get what you want.
To make a little better
It's only going out,
Just one thing then another you kno-ow, you kno-ow
To make a little better
It's only going out,
Just one thing then another you kno-ow, you kno-ow
We're gonna show the world that something
Good can work and it could work for yo-ou,
And you know that it will.
Let's get this started, girl,
We're movin' up, we're movin' up
It's been a lot to change, but yo-ou
Will always get what you want.

*Let's make this happen, girl, We're gonna show the world that something good can work And it can work for you, And you know that it will.

... this song is called something good can work but still a very fun song :)

isn't it: 'it's only going up' instead of 'out'?

My tongue can't sing this.

Seriously love this song. Singing the chorus is hard work!

This song fits my best friend's life right now. She is moving out, leaving home and gaining independence. She is so excited right now.

catchy, pump up, positive, energizing, freedom, independence, fun, eclectic, let's go out and be awesome kinda song :)

LOVE THIS SONG!!!
Seriously, these guys should be given more credit. Their music is amazing :)

The song is called "Something Good Can Work" and you got a few lyrics wrong.
Instead of "Got a little competition now, You're gonna find it hard to make it, Livin' on your own, o-oh, o-oh" It is "Got a little competition now, You're gonna find it hard to cope with Livin' on your own, o-oh, o-oh"\
And the chorus is "Let's make this happen, girl, We're gonna show the world that something Good can work and it can work for yo-ou, And you know that it will."
And instead of "It's only going out, just one thing then another" It is "It's only going up, just one thing then another"
Anyways, I love this song and this band and Alex Trimble is a beautiful man (:

I think these lyrics have a sarcastic undertone...
It's about a boy who fell in love with a girl with a lot of insecurities and while she worked hard to overcome them he was there the whole time rooting her on, proud of her.
And "moving up in the world" implies when she "bloomed" she made him a thing of the past and deemed him unworthy of this new and improved woman.
I can relate to that scenario very well and this song makes sense to me in that way.
