Aye, wassup ladies? This your boy Unk
Second Season, excuse me fellas
But uh, if you pay your own rent, you get your own money
You know you independent represent it

If your rent's payed and your hair layered
And your toes did and your nails done
You buy your own drinks, you in here havin' fun
And you don't need no help 'cause you can get it done

Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?

A dime piece, girl you worth a mill
They'd have to lock you up if looks could kill
You dress from head to toe, baby you look so trill
A club full of niggas, they all up in your grill

And let these bitches know this ain't no cheese grill
And let 'em know you bank roll and you ain't on no pill
And let em' know your purse and your shoes is real
And every time you move, the world stand still

And baby girl by the bar out
And when she leave she by that imported car out
A big house on the hill, she stay far out
And baby shine like the sun, put the stars out
That's what I'm talkin' 'bout

If your rent's payed and your hair layered
And your toes did and your nails done
You buy your own drinks, you in here havin' fun
And you don't need no help 'cause you can get it done

Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?

She can buy what she wanna buy, wear what she wanna wear
Spend what she wanna spend, fuck she don't even care
Everybody stop and stare, cash stashed everywhere
Ladies if you buy money then throw your hands in the air

You lookin' good, you smellin' good
Feeling sexy from the suburbs even from the hood
Gettin' money every day, she pay her own way
Her own crib and a nice bed where you can lay

It's time to go now, put that on my tab
Put that on your tab, girl did you do the math?
All she did was laugh, baby I got this
You a stunna, you a balla, you the hottest

If your rent's payed and your hair layered
And your toes did and your nails done
You buy your own drinks, you in here havin' fun
And you don't need no help 'cause you can get it done

Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at? Now where my ladies at?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?
Now where my ladies at that got they own stacks?

If your rent's payed and your hair layered
And your toes did and your nails done
You buy your own drinks, you in here havin' fun
And you don't need no help 'cause you can get it done

Now where my ladies at?

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
