The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Pretty sure the song is about disorder existing in every aspect of life. The metaphor of the relationship is showing how everything, even the best intentions, eventually degrades into a chaotic state. Even though he was trying to help her out by starting a relationship with her, it degrades over time until he can't stand her any more. He becomes angry and frustrated with the very things that give him pleasure.
such a killler song from korns new album. is it about a liking a chick but being too afraid to be normal around her and then chaos breaks out ends up raping her, but then gets nothing out of it??? pretty hectic maybe.. thoughts people?
@frezyt That was kinda what I got from it as I have recently been listening to the album again, which makes me not fond of the particular song just because its a topic that sickens me. I love Korn, but I don't wanna hear about shit like that.
@frezyt on the flipside of that, the metaphor could be circulating around his father, as he was molested by him as a kid. Idk for sure.
