I'm searching for the words to say
I'm sorry that sometimes they slip away
When nights grow long and the drinks are stronger
I find myself stuck in yesterday

Cause I, I don't know where I'm going
Half of the time, half of the time

The road is long wherever I'm going
Lets make it through today
Clouds roll in but the sun is still showing
We'll get there someway

Someday

The road seems longer wherever I'm headed
On both sides people are passing me by
Like my whole life has just been one big circle
I'm hoping you might show me a sign

Cause I, I don't know where we're going
Half of the time, but we
Will be sure we get there together

The road is long wherever I'm going
Lets make it through today
Clouds roll in but the sun is still showing
We'll get there someway

We'll get there someday, we'll get there someday

Still searching for the words to say
I'm sorry girl somehow they slipped away
You're the only place that my light is still glowing
If it's all the same I think I'll follow you

The road is long wherever I'm going
Lets make it through today
Clouds roll in but the sun is still showing
We'll get there someday

There's so far to go but each day we get closer
To where we want to stay
Clouds roll in but the sun is still showing
We'll get there someway, someday

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
