I think that "Corinne" is actually a gun, but can also be interpreted as a girl.

Firing "Corinne" could be the reason he was kicked out of the forces. It could also represent the reason that "Corinne" and him broke up, he might have treated her badly or smothered her with attention, and he's now saying he wont treat her this way anymore.

I think this song is about an emotionally abusive relationship he was in "the forces" and they took him out i think the "boom and a bang" refers to when the relationship got physical and he hit her by accident and that's why they took him out of the forces

he's depressed he regrets what he did and wants things to go back to the way they were he's trying to apologize and try again but she's being agressive i.e "I'm not gonna fight you again" she's not listening

She just wants to dance all the time

I think this means she just "dancing" around his pleas for another chance like she's distracting away from what he's trying to tell her

This is just my interpretation though

Was thinking the 'gun' interpretation was daft at first but on repeat listening, it is beginning to sound like,

'I'm not gonna FIRE you again'

Who knew!

I think this is a song about a guy who abused sexually a girl who was in the military with him.
