I can't be further away from endless life
Oh my god stars flash before my eyes
I'm slowly fading into my memories
So slowly fading tonight's the last you'll ever see
So slowly dreaming the last time
Oh my god so many people leaving me behind
Oh my god remember all those things you tried to hide
So slowly fading tonight's the last you'll ever see
So slowly dreaming the last time
Slowly fading I know you're slowly dreaming

It's about watching loved ones die. I love this song, it's so quiet but it's a djent metal song so it just snaps at you top wake up at certin parts but then lulls you to sleep.

    My Interpretation

In my opinion, this song is about death.

"I can't be further away from endless life"

    • Pretty self-explanatory. The author realizes that life is approaching it's end - they are about to die.

"Oh my god stars flash before my eyes"

    • The author sees stars flashing. Perhaps they are experiencing some out-of-body thing while fading off towards death. Maybe even transcending into actual space, as some picture the act of death.

"I'm slowly fading into my memories"

    • The author drifts further and further into their memories. As many people believe that this is what happens when you die - all your life flashes before your eyes.

"So slowly fading tonight's the last you'll ever see"

    • Again, self-explanatory - Tonight is the last night you'll ever see. Maybe this is relating to the "stars flash before my eyes". Perhaps the author is watching the night-sky on his very last night alive.

"So slowly dreaming the last time"

    • The author is slowly sinking into his very last sleep.

"Oh my god so many people leaving me behind"

    • The author dies and every1 else keeps living - they are living him behind.

"Oh my god remember all those things you tried to hide"

    • I'm actually not sure about this line. Perhaps while dying, the author is being revealed all the things he or some other person has tried to hide.

On a personal note, this was the first song that got me into Tesseract, and I immediately fell in love with them. So mystical and deep, yet groovy and heavy and fat in sound, like no other band. I was going through some life crisis and personal transformation while I discovered this song, and it helped me transcend everything and become a better version of myself. Pure meditative song!

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
