You're Not Stubborn Lyrics
I was wrong, I take it back
Now can we get along, give up the slack
You know it all could be much easier
But I'm still travelling, I'm still travelling
And all the while, the people talk
About the unsung shit, that they then start
And use to please the crowd, the swarming whordes of fun
That was in in-turned glasses
So if I'm wrong again, I apologize
You can take a guess, I'll check out my eyes
It's a common thing, to be out of line
But it's getting old, by the fifteenth time
Don't take your time, make up your mind
Though it won't change the world, you'll be more inclined
To have a point of view, that makes it through
And keeps you travelling, keeps you travelling
So pick your friends, forget the rest
You can't live life being second best
The critics talk of stubbornness
But you're just passionate, you're just passionate
So if I'm wrong again, I apologize
You can take a guess, I'll check out my eyes
It's a common thing, to be out of line
But it's getting old, by the fifteenth time
So if I'm wrong again, I apologize
You can take a guess, I'll check out my eyes
It's a common thing, to be out of line

Basically he and his girlfriend are fighting...once again. Like one of those periods where you just go through that you fight until things get resolved. "You know it all could be much easier But I'm still travelling, I'm still travellin"- being on the road/long distance makes conflict blow up and makes it easier to misinterpret things. He's getting frustrated with all of it and all the tension it creates between them, and he'll apologize as many times as it takes because he really cares about her and the stupid arguments aren't worth losing her.
Thanks! appreciated that last post - also I think that it is hordes of "folk" not "fun"

I\'ve always interpreted it as a sort of critique of the music industry. More specifically, the song is from the perspective of a record executive trying to convince an artist that they are going to make it; that the \'they\'re just passionate\'. \n\nThe lines about \'traveling\' could also be in reference to touring.
It's guess not guest :)

talks about glasses and "taking out his eyes," maybe referring to different points of view?
i'm pretty sure it's:
So if I'm wrong again, I apologize You can take a guess, I'll check on my eyes It's a common thing, to be out of line But it's getting old, by the fifteenth time
it's definatley about the unsung shit, that they then start not stop LOL. northern irish accents FTW (Y)
and its you can take your guess, i'll check out my eyes
My suggestions "pick up the slack" instead of "give up the slack" and hordes of "folk" instead of "fun"
Those two lines are WRONG EVERYWHERE ONLINE! "And use to please the crowd, the swarming hordes of fun That was in in-turned glasses" LOL@ IN-TURNED GLASSES what's that?! certainly not a real thing!
"And use to please the crowd, the swarming hordes of Folk that watch on in sunglasses"!!
Well you do realise trimble changes his lyrics when he sings live compared to that of the ones that come with tourist history.
