Kyle's Song was written after a good friend of the band, Kyle (the artist for John Street) was hit by a car outside of a moe.show in Washington DC at the 9:30 Club in December of 2000. Kyle is fine, and survived with only a shoulder injury.
Seems like it's about Al's friend Kyle getting hit by a car, at least the verses. The chorus is confusing. Classic moe.
