Did you forget
That I was even alive
Did you forget
Everything we ever had
Did you forget
Did you forget
'Bout me

Did you regret
Ever standing by my side
Did you forget
What we were feeling inside
Now I'm left to forget
About us

But somewhere we went wrong
We were once so strong
Our love is like a song
You can't forget it

So now I guess
This is where we have to stand
Did you regret
Ever holding my hand
Never again
Please don't forget
Don't forget

We had it all
We were just about to fall
Even more in love
Than we were before
I won't forget
I won't forget
About us

But somewhere we went wrong
We were once so strong
Our love is like a song
You can't forget it

But somewhere we went wrong
We were once so strong
Our love is like a song
You can't forget it

At all

And at last
All the pictures have been burned
And all the past
Is just a lesson that we've learned
I won't forget
Please don't forget about us

But somewhere we went wrong
Our love is like a song
But you won't sing along
You've forgotten
About us
Don't forget

i think it's obvious what it's about, what i think i'm noticing though, is the 5 stages of grief...

Denial: "you can't forget it" at the beginning it's like she's can't believe he doesn't care.

Bargaining: "we were once so strong, our love it like a song." it's as though she's trying to explain why he can't leave her.

Depression: "we had it all, we were just about to fall even more in love" everything they were is gone, who they were as "us" is dead.

Anger: the song guitar comes in and suddenly she's telling him, "you can't forget it AT ALL" she won't allow it

Acceptance: "and at last, all the picture have been burned, and all the past is just a lesson that we've learned" she understands, it's really over "you won't sing along..."

now she's left, to forget him.

maybe i'm forcing it, but i think it's beautiful how they're incorporated, it makes the song more effectual.

great voice. excellent song. you can see why it's the title track.

At first, I didn't really like this song, but now, I'm addicted to it.

It's just a song about feeling broken.

This is one of my favorite songs on her album along with Get Back, On the Line, Two Worlds Collide, and Trainwreck. Everone can relater to this song whether or not you are a girl or a boy. She is the best lyricist that Disney has got right now in my opinion.

i agree with wwegurl93 that demi is the best lyricist of disney right now. i think she has the best voice and potential too. she's the most like...down to earth and real.

I'm not a fan of Demi Lovato, but she is cute as hell and this song is really good. Her voice sounds wonderful. <3

    Memory

My friend kept urging me to listen to this song, and at first I was like "No way, I don't really listen to Demi," but then I finally listened to it at her house and I cried, which made her cry too, so I can say that my first time listening to this song, I has a cry-fest.

It's a really beautiful song and it holds alot of meaning to anyone that relates to it.

I love this song sooo much!

    her best song. hands down.

and to hear her sing it live. is heartbreaking. hopefully she doesn't loose that emotion after performing it too many times.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
