I'm gonna assume that my phone is broken
Delivery reports have ruined my life
Half a bowl of cereal's left me choking
Choking on time

My guitar is on the floor
I think I'll leave it there where it belongs
But I know if I get out of bed
I will trip on her neck

And the comfort of hitting the floor grows closer
Naked, boneless and fragile, oh
Pick up the guitar and swing at my head
Shatter my bones and leave me in a mess
I will hang myself in the strings

I think I'm going to stay in today
Before something really bad happens
I feel the nigga eyes staring
Makes me want to rip off my skin

Sketchy motherfucker
Take me to the great heights
Pull me by my neck to the higher levels

You have your backup and I have my
But I'm sorry, I ignored you
Why won't you help me?
Why won't you do the work for me?

'I'm gunna assume that my phone is broken, Delivery reports have ruined my life.'

he texted a girl he likes, and he knows she got the texts because of the delivery reports, but she didn't text him back... which ultimately makes him feel like shit.

I enjoy this song. Ill give this thing a go "delivery reports have ruined mylife" hes finding it hard to communicate with others. I live in the worst suburb and get no reception on my mobile half my texts dont send haha. I honestly think this song is about the fear of rejection not as in going to pick up a hoozie but in society 'Sketchy motherfuckers's the word to 'sketch' means to draw something, as in a portrait it has to look like what you are drawing i.e drawing a bowl of fruit your not going to sketch it like picasso with triangles for oranges, the word sketch is in its pure form.

'I feel the nigga eyes they staring' black people are the biggest racist of themselves judgmentive sons of bitches who expect you to behave like every ghetto ass 'baller' on the planet and even if you do they'll still judge you, never happy.

'Why won't you do the work for me?' i cant figure that one out.

magic song & i like how it translucence's into the next track.

I figured it was maybe partially about getting writers block and 'wanting to hang himself in the strings' represents his frustration

well LSP is black and not a 'little british white boy' i htink song could be a bout racism beacuse the Nigga eyes atre at him make him want to rip of his skin

it couls be about a girl who likes but doesn't like him becasue he is black and this gets him down and makes him miserable in everything he does

i love how this little british white boy gets away with saying "nigga" and "sketchy motherfucker" yet still having a great song, so it doesn't even phase anyone.

i think the last verse is more like.. you have your backup, and i have my "i'm sorry i ignored you," "why won't you help me?" "why won't you do the work for me?"

like, she has her own backup plan, but he's just left with questions at the end of it all. just my take, because i don't hear the 'but' before the 'i'm sorry'.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
